Trip Type: Business Review 17 of 481Worst hotel front desk service in the freemont district
Since the change of ownership, the hotel has seen a huge decrease in hotel service from the front desk area to service in their dining establish- ments. This hotel just does not focuss on hospitality.I made an attempt to see the hotel manager on an issue which I received no attention what so ever. This hotel has gone down-hill in a rapid speed. It's now a budget hotel in my view. Should you dicide to dine in one of their dining establishment be prepared to wait-service is severely slow.....

I have seen and past this hotel quite a few times and even visited the casino, but this was my first time staying here. I really enjoyed my stay . The staff was great as well as the room, staff and food.

I didn't appreciate the depressing surroundings of homeless individuals walking up and down the street. Bathtub not very clean!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 25 of 481Small but modest
If you are familiar with the Fremont experience, then this would definitely place of stay. The rooms are small but they seemed to be maintained fresh paint, carpet was nice. Seriously, I stayed @ the Circus Circus this February and it was more run down than El Cortez

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 26 of 481great place for the price
Friendly staff and very nice modern spacious suite rooms. When I got to hotel all regular rooms were taken, so they upgraded me to suite and I loved it.

Trip Type: Business Review 27 of 481Good Value
Stayed 4 nights at the new Cabana Suites, located across the street from the main hotel. This is my second time staying in the Cabana Suites. On both visits, I banged my shin on the bed footer that protrudes out farther than the matress. The room is very comfortable, but the air conditioner is too loud and drowns out the television audio.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 29 of 481A stinking Hotel
The El Cortez is a very run-down casino/hotel in a very run-down area of Las Vegas. When we stepped into the elevator to get to the hotel the elevator was just as worn and run-down as the exterior of the casino and stunk badly of cigarette smoke. It smelled so bad we stepped right back out and drove away from our prepaid room.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 30 of 481You get what you paid for
I liked the fact that the hotel was in a convenient location. The rooms were way better than I expected. The service was very good except for the workers that worked the 3rd shift. The food at the restaurant was not only affordable but it was good. They gave you a lot of food for the low price. I would definitely stay there again.
