Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 33Nice Place
This is a decent hotel for a short stay (1 or 2 days)...

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 33Got what I paid for
The hotel was outside of KC, which is what I was looking for, to avoid the bustle/crime of staying in the city itself. The room was fairly typical of a lower rate room, the "queen" bed was a double, not even CLOSE to a queen size bed. It was also extremely hard. We made a joke when we first laid down on it about how they must have forgotten the mattress and this was the box spring. Also, there was trash left over on the shower floor and in the trash cans, which I thought was annoying. The room itself and the bedding was cleaned well except for the trash. The bathroom was awkwardly laid out, and it was hard to get in to the shower/toilet and close the door...you practically had to stand on the shower ledge to do it. But the convenience of an ironing board/iron and a blow dryer made it nice. And they definitely restored our coffee supplies every morning! Over all, it was OK, and if you aren't picky about your bed or you like a hard mattress, this place is fine. But for three nights and a bad back, I was kind of upset.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 33Great room for the room and very clean.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and quiet. The room and hotel were great for the 2 nights we stayed. Did not get to try the continental breakfast.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Was great place to stay, especially considering the small price. Will easily recommend!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 33Great location, excellent value
This place is a motel and isn't anything fancy, but it's an excellent value and very convenient. It's located just off Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park and has very easy access to I-35. Despite its proximity to Metcalf, the hotel was very quiet. We were able to visit Kauffman Stadium, the Harry Truman sites, Worlds of Fun and the 18th and Vine museums in trips that were no more than 20 minutes apiece. There's also a Steak & Shake restaurant less than a block away and plenty of shopping within a mile or two on Shawnee Mission Parkway. The continental breakfast was a little skimpy and the pool is outdoors, but it was very well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, especially since the price was excellent.

Reasonably priced. The bathroom area and bathroom was spotless! You get all the ammenities needed without the extra fees, i.e. refrigerator, microwave, internet, etc.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 33Needs Soundproofing
The room was nice enough until we discovered that when you turn the bathroom light on, it also turns on the light outside of the bathroom. When either of us got up to go in the middle of the night, it was bright as day. The walls must have been made out of paper. We hardly got any sleep as others on both sides were very noisey most all of the night. Then very early the next morning some guys were either standing outside the room or were walking by and they were talking. It was loud enough you would have thought that they were in the room.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 33Great room for the money
This was a very good motel for the money. The room was small and clean. The only problem I had was that the pillows were too soft. I like more support for my head. It was very convenient to the interstate and other Johnson County suburbs as well as downtown KC.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 33Was good a stay for a night.
I didn't have really high expectations and was really only looking for a clean place to stay for the night. I had a bit of trouble getting the key to work in the door, but the manager was very helpful in teaching me the trick. The room was very clean. My only complaint was the strong smell of febreeze. Other than that, the room was more than I expected.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 33Good hotel for the price
For the price we paid, I did not expect much, but I was quite happy with my one night stay. Service at the front desk was quick and pleasant. Breakfast the next morning ended early (6-9am), so I slept through it. We had no problems with noise (from other guests or in the neighborhood), and the hotel is located in a nice area - there's a convenience store and restaurant all within half a block. The room was well furnished, but simple. There were only 2 pillows on each bed, and I've slept on more comfortable mattresses. While I was very satisfied (especially for the price) if you're a picky sleeper, use room service often, or require a bellhop to take your bags to your room - you might want to look elsewhere. But if you want a good room at a good price and don't need all the frills, this is a fine hotel.
