Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 11What a setting!!!!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Dreams getaway. The setting was amazing, the hotel and staff were the best and our stay wasn't long enough. Loved the pool and all the fun bars and restaurants to try. We didn't stray far from the grounds because it was so relaxing. Lots of beach to walk and we got to see turtles hatching... Very romantic if that's what you're looking for and we will return again...

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 11The food was unbelievably bad...
I booked this trip as a getaway for my husband and I since we are expecting our 5th child and needed a break before that miraculous event. I was disappointed. The staff was great and the actual hotel surroundings were lovely but our "oceanview" room could be considered a partial oceanview at best. It overlooked what was supposed to be the "quiet" pool, complete with very relaxing music and very serene surroundings. The other pool was very lively with lots of drinking and club music and games so since we were trying to relax, we stayed at the quiet pool. Well, it didn't stay quiet for long because despite the 50 or so silent, relaxing, reading, sleeping adults there; 2 couples descended at around 11am each day and let their kids scream and splash everyone. One mom even commented, "This pool's a lot quieter, huh Ollie???" The kid replied, "That's because it's all grown-ups, Mom!" DUH!!!! I really think the hotel should've stepped in and suggested the other pool because the exasperated sighs and eye-rolling of 50+ people wasn't enough for these families to get a clue. VERY frustrating. Was it posted that you MUST be quiet at this pool? No. Was it a matter of common courtesy and a minute amount of awareness of your surroundings? Yes. The room: The beds were hard and the patio furnishings were brokedown and fragile. Two upright wicker chairs and a tiny table. There was no Pay-Per-View on the TV and as for the DVD selection they advertise??? The concierge had 8 DVDs to borrow including the stellar titles "Robocop" and "Bring It On: In It To Win It." Not fantastic. I'm saving the worst for last. The food was horriffic. There was a genuine inability to serve anything hotter than lukewarm. The toasted breads were soggy, the salad bar was a selection of 5 or so pasta salads, all of them warm. Omelets were runny and hotcakes were chewy. It was soooooo bad. And we tipped! And tipped well so that couldn't have been the excuse. The first thing we did when we got back to the st

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 11A "10" in Cabo
My wife and I stayed at Dreams for our anniversary from 2/14 - 2/18 and loved every minute of it. This was our first All-Inclusive and it met and exceeded our expectations. First of all we read reviews here and on other hotel review sites. We were just a bit hesitant but that was quickly put to rest. The food was great - considering this is Mexico. The staff was incredible, spoke fluent English, and never expected a tip, although we did tip when someone went above and beyond (Raul). There were no high pressure timeshare folks on the grounds. And having a doctor on site, although not included in the price of the stay, was a plus. The only downside was some of the 5 restaurants were closed and various time for various meals, however a list is given to you every morning under the door that explains which restaurants are open for what meals. The nightclub is not for party animals, it is simply a bar open later than all the others. This is not a "spring break" hot spot. There were plenty of young kids there (under 18), and my wife and I didn't mind the little noise they did create. If we did there was a whole separate pool on the north side of the resort that was designated "quiet". The view is incredible from the main pool and the swim up bar is nice. There was a wedding every day, although they seemed to be small weddings, with no more than 20 or so people and never interrupted our day or night. Overall we would recommend this resort to anyone, except those "ultra-trendy" folks and those who make over $500k per year. This isn't some trendy place that you are going to bump into rock stars, models or dignitaries, you will have a great time meeting people from all over the world and not have to worry about what the food and drinks cost because it is included, even the room service! There is a shuttle (taxi) that will take you to Cabo almost every hour throughout the day for $12 pp/rt and was very convenient. There is also an "entertainment team" that is constantly having

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 11Extremely Poor Experience - bad hotel policies
We were guests at a small wedding, and I've never experienced an all inclusive that went to the lengths that this one did to try and charge you for additional services. We were charged $390 for the courtesy of a reservation at one of the restaurants in order to make sure that all 17 of the guests could sit together. I still don't understand the math on that - as we were quoted $15 USD per person..... And a hotel that was half full at best and no one else in the restaurant anyway. Waste, waste, waste of money. After this and many, many other very disappointing situations we gave up and stopped arguing. Which I'm sure is what they wanted in the first place. Additionally, it's pretty far (20 - 25 minutes) from downtown Cabo - and the hotel charges a fee for the shuttle. It's a pain to get anywhere and while the entertainment director was really nice, there isn't anything to do but water volleyball on site. I would not only never stay there again, I discourage anyone else from going there unless you want to do nothing but float in the pool and drink with no excursions or activities on or off site. If you're planning a wedding there - beware of them trying to stick it to you with unnecessary charges.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 11"Family of the Groom" at Dreams
We were at Dreams as part of a 45-person contingent for my brother's wedding. The hotel is very nice, the reception dinner was the best food we had all week. Restaurants vary in quality -- Italian was dreadful (cold lasagne) but others OK. The hotel ambience was great, and the policy preventing reserving chairs at the pool meant we could always find a spot. Hotel accomodated range of ages. Probably would not visit again, because the activities around Los Cabos are not exactly our cup of tea, but a great place for a wedding.

Hotel is fine for families with children. However, with respect to couples, the children (sometimes unruly) made the stay less than romantic

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 11Great all inclusive value
We chose this all inclusive based on others comments on hotels.com. We certainly WERE NOT disappointed. This hotel was beautiful and the all inclusive package was just that...all inclusive. No wristbands required. There were 5 restaurants to choose from, full bar service from 10a.m. - 1 a.m, pool food and beverage service, room service to name a few. The staff was very accomodating and polite. They really tried to get everyone involved in the activities too. We had a fabulous time and would certainly go back to this hotel again!!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 11Awesome Vacation
Great trip -- my boys 8 & 10 had a ball in the pool & building forts/tunnels in sand. Food and drinks great for all of us. Service outstanding -- we forgot our camera at the restaurant. They called within minutes and delivered it before we even knew we it was missing. Beautiful hotel -- night time shows were fun too. Tips: No US ATM at the hotel

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 11outstanding hotel
We have a timeshare annex to the hotel. This time we were impressed with the overall improvements in almost every category compared to prior stays. The hotel staff has become really good; the food would get 23-24 points at Zagat in all its restaurants; the room was kept very clean; the pool chairs were very comfortable. The resort is now all-inclusive, and while we do not usually favor all-inclusive stays, this experiment was entirely satisfying (the free bars even got Chivas and Johny Walker Black). One negative: While the hotel management is commendable, we can't say the same of the timeshare management; the latter threw away the chapter on customer satisfaction; fortunately we didn't have to deal with them too often.
