Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 82Great hotel for the money
We did not get a great break on the price due to the MC Marathon that weekend and the paucity of cheap hotels in downtown area. The hotel was very comfortable: loved the memory foam mattress! The only down side was the valet parking. You would think that for $28/night they could get the car back to you within a half an hour.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 82Didn't get a good night's sleep
This is a nice hotel. My air conditioner was very loud and I received an unsolicited wake up call at 6:30. Parking is $28 a night. I would stay again because my daughter lives nearby but I would not go out of my way to stay here.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 82Fantastic Stay!
We were in town for a long weekend of site-seeing, and this hotel fit the bill! A little bummed because they didn't offer a continental breakfast, and we were up early every morning to go see the city, but that was our only complaint! We got there early, around noon, and our room was ready! As soon as we reached our room, we received a call from the front desk asking if our room was to our liking. Anything we needed, the front desk was ready to provide: a computer with a printer to print out our tickets for Mount Vernon, directions to a restaurant in the neighborhood that served dinner until 1 AM on the night we didn't get back until midnight, a large stack of takeout menus on the night our shoes were soaked from walking around in the rain all day. The room was lovely, the staff all super nice, and everything we wanted in DC was within a fifteen minute walk through great neighborhoods. If I ever go back to DC, I will definitely check out this hotel first.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 82Outstanding Hotel
Great service, good food, rooms were very nice. The bathroom was abit small but nice. You just melt into the beds and pillows. Staff very friendly and ready to help with any thing. If I make it back to DC I will stay here. The cookies were yummy!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 82Warm and welcoming
I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where the staff was as sincerely kind and generous. It's not just their famous cookies that are warm. And the cookies are probably the best I've ever tasted. It felt like coming home to a family I actually wanted to spend the holidays with. The accomodations were ideal. Thank you all very much.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 82Good location, good staff
I thought this hotel was fine. It was a little more money than I would have liked to spend and the parking cost was way overpriced even for being in the city but it wasn't a bad place to stay. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was good. It's a close walking distance to the White House which is good for tourists.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 82Nice but far
Nice hotel, but very far from a Metro stop. The staff kept telling us it was only 5 blocks, but no matter which way we went, it was much farther than that. However, cabs to various spots in the city were not very expensive at all. Also, for the price we paid, we were very disappointed to have a broken TV in our room (nice TV, but wouldn't turn on), regardless of complaining each night and morning to hotel staff. It was fixed by our last night there.
