Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 65Great hotel, even better location
Doubletree Tarrytown has a beautiful appearance. The lobby is impressive, and the hotel seems to take great pride in its appearance. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Loved the cookies upon check-in! Location of the hotel is amazing. Everything we wanted to see in the Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow area was just a few miles away. Only two issues: the pillows were too flat, and the bathroom did not have a fan! Otherwise, great place and definitely reasonably priced.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 65Excellent room for the price!
Good gym & pool; nice lobby. The only complaint (albeit small) is that the elevator to the 2nd floor is very small!

Great hotel for the money. Room was clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. They gave me a warm cookie when I checked in.

Take a 20-minute walk to Sunnydale, Washington Irving's home. Fascinating!

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 65Great hotel with a good location
The hotel was right off the highway and was very easy to locate. The surrounding town is full of places to eat and there are many things to see. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were provided with ample space, however there was no micro refrigerator, and the bathroom was a little smaller than we had expected, otherwise, a pleasant stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 65Excellent stay!
I booked this hotel because, being unfamiliar with the area, I wanted a place convenient to Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and the environs. I was not disappointed! Check-in was easy, quick, and efficient . . . and the warm chocolate chip cookie was fabulous! Our room was clean and comfortable, the towels were downright luxurious, and it was just plain nice all the way around. I also appreciated the fact that our windows opened--I enjoy the fresh air and hearing the geese fly overhead! I certainly would not hesitate to stay here again, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the Tarrytown area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 65special events conflict
Hotel itself was excellent but the young, hip musical events that brought others into the hotel and parking lot Saturday night and Sundayt morning were very inconvenient! They clogged the lots with no place for guests to park, damaged one of our cars and generally were annoying. Overnight guests need designated places to park with others using areas away from them.

Good, conference center type hotel. Comfortable rooms, nice lobby, good, if expensive food. Only minus are the thin walls.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 65Nice hotel, but not exactly peaceful
Stayed here on a Saturday night. We got there late (around 9 p.m.) and it was a good half hour before we made it to our room. First, it was really hard to find a parking space. It appeared they were hosting a wedding and a high school reunion, so there were a lot of extra cars. It would have been nice if they had provided parking for hotel guests only. Also, the layout is kind of bizarre. Our room was on the fourth floor, which is really still the first floor. The hotel is sort of a large U shape. If you don't know exactly where to go, you end up doing a lot of walking. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so we could hear a lot of music and noise coming from the wedding. Still, the room was very nice - roomy, stylish, and with all the amenities, including Neutrogena products. They also give you warm chocolate chip cookies when you check in - a nice touch! Room service delivered pretty quickly and the food was good. Overall, a nice place, but if you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room away from the function rooms.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 65A little disappointed
Our rooms lacked several items that the hotel promised to provide, i.e., extra toilet tissues, complimentary water bottles. Even cheaper hotels often provide a microwave and a fridge in each room, but this one did not, to my disappointment. My child is on a restricted diet so these accommodations were necessity for me. I was under the impression that they provide complimentary breakfast so I was surprised they did not.
