Great location!

Perfect hotel and location!!

We stayed at the Doubletree Hotel for 3 days and it was excellent! The room was very spacious. We even asked to add an additional bed for our son and there was still plenty of room for all 4 of us! Every night we had a good night's sleep, thanks to their "sweet dream" beds. These were the most comfortable beds and great quality bedding. It was very quiet yet very convenient to restaurants, retail, grocery stores, and freeway access. On our next trip to San Diego, we will definitely stay at the Doubletree again!!

Customer Service

I thought overall everything was great for the price I paid for the upper rooms. But I will say that the staff tried to assist with everything we needed or wanted but the follow up was terrible. We went down to the pool around 8:00 pm with really nothing much going on in the hotel you would think getting fresh towles wouldn't take as long. We never received any towels.... That was on the first night and then again on the second night. The Bartender was great along side his side kicks if it wasn't for the Chargers beating the Raiders I might have been a little more upset. Also before selecting this hotel I read all of the other comments and hate to say I can see all those things happening it just depends if you get a good crew the nights you stay. Read all of the comments. My grade rating would be a B-

shocking experience

my husband was shocked by the hotel's hair dryer. he told the front desk staff and they said "sorry". i was stunned by their response. i think they should have been a little more concerned. also, our sliding door to the balcony was very hard to open/close. the front desk said they would send up maintainence but no one came during our 5 night stay....not good service.

Great Hotel

This Doubletree Hotel was great. It was recently remodeled and they have new carpeting, wall paper and furnishings in the rooms. It was the most quiet hotel that I ever stayed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near resturants and shopping. And a great convenice is that it is right across the street from the San Diego trolley which can take you to Old Town, Downtown, the Amtrak train station and the Mexican Border. When you have the window shut; you do not hear the trolley or anything else. I was very happy with this hotel and I definetly stay at this hotel again.

Terrific service and comfortable beds

This hotel was one of the best that we have ever stayed at. Not only was it central to all attractions in San Diego,it is located on a convenient plaza that has spas, a book store, cafes, a cinema, and even a grocery store. The service (especially the valet staff) were extraordinary and made sure you knew where you were going and how to make any day trips more fun. The best part, however, happenend to be the beds. After a long day of sightseeing and walking we could not have asked for a more comfortable and inviting bed. We recommend this Doubletree to all!

Wonderful Hotel

I really found this hotel to be wonderful. The location was super convenient for visiting the zoo and to go downtown to the gaslamp district. The amenities were great. I loved the indoor pool and the sauna. The room was very nice and the shower water pressure was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable i have experienced in a hotel.

Very Pleased

We were very pleased with this hotel from the generous space in the rooms to the comfortable beds to the larger than average fitness room and pools (there's both an indoor and an outdoor one). My kids asked if we can stay at this hotel every time we come to San Diego. My only complaint is that it's not wallking distance to Old Town or Seaport Village but still a short drive away and worth it for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Hotel Needs Improvement

Everything in this hotel is old, and out of dated. TV and furniture is very old, and bathroom door has no lock. Bathroom ceiling has mold/mildew stain on it. Parking is $14 per day. The only good thing about this hotel is location. Shopping and dinning location is very close to hotel.
