I was annoyed because I picked this hotel because of the price and the fact that it HAD A POOL AND SPA. However, the weekend I visited the pool area was closed for repairs. I would liked to have known in advance that there was going to be no pool/spa use that weekend. I would've booked another hotel if I had known this one was not going to let me use their spa/ pool.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very kind in helping us find things we needed and getting us transportation around the city. Would deinately recommend this hotel to others.

We were not impressed by this hotel at all. It is located right off the freeway when getting off on Front St.. The parking fee is outrageous at $20.00 and then they have a sign stating " Not Responsible for belongings or any damages to the vehicle " so why do they charge for parking then. The room was very lousy with the air conditioner being very noisy and the room wouldn't get cold it was stuffy all night. I will definetely not go back to this hotel. Very plain room with no breakfast, microwave or free internet.

Thehotel was very nice and the staff was friendly but, there was no airconditioning in the lobby or hallways an the ice machine did not work on the 16th of 15th floor. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

This was a great room for the money and the hotel staff and service was commendable. However, it was difficult to navigate once you left the hotel and tried to return due to the one way streets and the hotel location. Also, the parking structure had such narrow and tight lanes (and they had to nerve to have a sign to let you know to watch it) that you scratched your car or kissed the walls each time you entered and exited. Narrow was an understatement!!!!! The view of downtown and proximity to the Gas Lamp district was good. I'd stay there again if someone was picking me up and I didn't have to park there...

It's hard to really know or gauge what your experience will be like based upon the reviews of others but I was pleasantly surprised at my stay at the Doubletree San Diego. I stayed one night on Oct. 3 to attend a Jamie Foxx concert nearby. From start to finish everythings was fabulous. The hotel was immaculate. Our room was great, very clean, no odor or residue. And the view and balcony were a nice touch. The have a really nice swank bar located in the lobby. And the surrounding neighborhood accomodates just about every desire. The hotel is just 6 blocks from the Gaslight district. I will definitely plan another stay at the Double Tree again. The staff was wonderful and very accomodating.

There was a nice view of the bay from the balcony which overlooked the pool and deck area. Hotel was in close proxmity to Little Italy and its many restaurants. A bit of a walk to the Gaslamp district, but cabs were available.
