Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 88We would stay there again!
We were very pleased with our stay at the Doubletree Hotel - Downtown Nashville. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly as were the restaurant and valet staff. Our first room (two doubles) was quite small however, and when we asked the next day to be moved to a larger two double room they were very accomodating. (Seems there are a few rooms on the corners of the building that are substantially smaller than the others.) The rooms were very clean and the bedding extremely comfortable. The hotel location was very convenient to downtown Nashville and within walking distance to the Honky Tonk district, the Sommet Center, the Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The valet staff does provide a free shuttle service (tips only) within a 4 block radius as well which we used when we were dressed up and did not want to walk with high heels on! All in all we thought the hotel was a great deal for the money and will stay there again on our next trip to Nashville.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 88Outstanding Hotel
I have no complaints about this hotel. The people were friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, very clean, bed was nice, recent updates, flat panel TV, bathroom was updated. A little tip.. to take a shower you have to pull down on the faucet tip. It took me a minute to figure that one out. A guy in another room told me he ended up taking a bath because he couldn't figure it out and had to be somewhere. The neighborhood around it was okay if go a couple blocks over I noticed quite a few homeless people on my way to the convention center. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 88Poor customer service
We got there and they couldn't find our reservation. We had a print out to prove we had booked a room. Took them an hour to find it while we sat there tired and hungry. When we finally got our room we barely got an apology.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 88Excellent Hotel but Small Rooms
This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Every thing was extremely clean and neatly organized. The staff is polite and seemed to enjoy their jobs. The only problems we had were related to our room. The reservation was made for four adults, and extra charges were incurred. However, these extra charges apparently did not include any extra accommodation. There were not enough towels or other conveniences, such as coffee cups, pods, etc.. The room and bathroom were also very small for the price. I would stay here again, but only if I got a better rate.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 88Comfy but some deferred maintenance
Very comfy room. Loved the bed. Staff pleasant and the room was fairly quiet. Breakfast buffet had wide variety of choices. Hotel has some deferred maintenance issues (missing glazing in windows by the elevator). Garage parking was very overpriced. Limited street parking - we finally found a spot a block away, across from the bus station.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 88Don't Use this hotel for your convention
We had a convention at this hotel and it was a great location, BUT they have only 3 elevators for a 12 story hotel and you cannot use the interior stairs if you are only going down one or two floors, that made a HUGE bottleneck whenever there was a scheduled event...I am talking about waiting 20 minutes for an elevator! Also, we never got our room cleaned before 3 or 4 in the afternoon...or even later. When we asked a maid when our room would be cleaned (she was cleaning the room next door) she just said it wasn't her room. Not helpful. I don't think they had enough staff. Also, we had a fancy banquet but our waitress was RUDE and handled our drinks and plates very roughly...she didn't care if she spilled. Very unprofessional. The maids carts wwas parked right outside the restrooms so you had to step around it. The hotel itself is nice but there were some real drawbacks.

great hotel, great location, the room was nice, the only "complaint" if i had one would be that the showehead was low.
