Nice facility and pretty beach. Security staff keeps beach from being as crazy as the surrounding beach and tries to keep the vendors moving. Not all vendors are bad; there is nothing like a complete pedicure and foot massage for less than 10 bucks! The staff is very nice. If the food was decent, it would be a pretty great place to vacation.

The hotel was decent and beach was really nice if you could put up with local vendors. We wanted some peace and quiet time there. Food, drinks and service were good! The hotel is located in a run down town named Boca Chica. We couldn't really go shopping outside of the hotel area because of local vendors.

First off, the all inclusive is completely overated. The food is not good and the service is even worse. My car was blocked in for a whole day by a wedding party, no one seemed to care. Then my girl friend was treated horribly and with no human decency, because they thought she was a prostitute trying to enter the premises. She was dressed conservatively, btw. Overall stay away from this particular hotel, you've been warned.

I am a return guest to Don Juan Resort. On this trip, the air conditioning was not working in the room. After a trip to the front desk, maintenance was sent to the room. After it was determined repairs could not be made right away, a new room was offered. This is the same quality service I have received on previous trips to the resort.

When we arrived at the hotel they put us in the less than desirable rooms we did not reserve. There was no hot water and sometimes no water at all, among other problems. It was not until the next day after complaining and wasting a lot of our time did they put us in the nicer rooms. Other than that the beach, pools, and food was nice.

Upon arrival at the resort, I was amazed to see that the pictures did not do it justice. The resort was immaculate and beautifully landscaped. One feature that was noticeable was the security. Me and my guest felt comfortable walking around the resort and also while laying on the beach. The employees were very friendly. Overall, a great vacation!

Though Hotels.com my son and I paid about 1/3 what the hotel would have charged. All meals were included so expected a problem and check in but there was none. The food was mostly good with some meals better than others and some traditional DR meals. The prostitute presence in Boca Chica is overwhelming but is only in your face on the streets, not at the hotel. We went for the diving, which is not spectacular and there is a dive shop on hotel premeses that is great. If you dive, do not miss the cave diving. It is incredible. Back to the hotel, use the safe in the room everywhere in the DR. There are 3 full meals and some varied snack and liquor bars everywhere. The pool is cloudy and I would not go in but the hotel is right on the beach and you can't beat the ocean, which is calm and protected there.
