Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 135Food experience well below par
Although the hotel is also part of a convention center I found the food available well below par. There was only one sit-down type resturant. The food court available required selection of food from a variety of stations. The food was overdone, dry and tasteless. Hoverever, it was expensive as one would expect from a Disney property. The isolation from other dining opportunities made the situation worse. I would not take a family to this venue.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 135Good hotel for family but not if you are alone..
Room was not bad a little bit of tiddying up would have helped, for got to leave sopa and lotion on two occassions. Food selection is sparse. No type of entertianment at all; I guess that is what Disney is for but besides the park there is nothing at the resort at all... If you are traveling as a family vacation and exclusively attending the parks then this resort is for you.. However if you are on a business trip and want tsoemething to do after the conference then stay away...

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 135Very nice hotel
The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Best room I've stayed in. Service at from desk was just ok. The girl I dealt with was nice and smiley, but could have been more informative. It's a huge hotel great looking resort/convention center. Best Disney resort I've stayed at thus far.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 135Lots of value added during stay - great choice for the price
Staying on a Disney property ended up having several unexpected benefits - free shuttle transportation to and from the airport, the parks and Disney's Boardwalk, ability to purchase park tickets at the resort to avoid long lines at the park, ability to check luggage in for return flight at the resort and let Disney get it to the right place, etc. Would definitely recommend Coronado Springs, especially for the price!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 135Refurbished
Disney recently refurbished these rooms and we were happy that they installed sliding doors to seperate the sink area and the room.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 135Not for experienced travelers
No morning restaurant service - all buffet. Very slow seating by the host/hosteses, even though there were many empty tables each day. Basically this is a hotel for families - not really convention friendly at all (although I attended a convention there, which was the reason for my stay). The food in the banquet rooms was far superior to the food in the restaurants. The hotel and its surroundings are very attractive, but appear like a movie set, not real. All in all, don't go there unless you are desperate to visit Disney World.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 135Customer Service Needs Improvemet.
I asked the operator for a bottle opener. She indicated that it would be brouhgt to my room shortley, but despite a second request, it was nevered delivered The food in the hotel restaurants was too expensive and not very good. Te best salsa they had to offer was Tabasco, very disapointing.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 135Needs Improvement (i.e., offer free Internet service from room)
Nice hotel, but I can't believe they charge $10 per day for Internet access from your room. I stayed at another hotel earlier in the week, and that other hotel offered free Internet service! Plus, that other hotel cost half as much per day! Why did I change my hotel??

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 135got a real good rate...
we got a real good rate considering it was a "disney" property, but we expected a more luxurious room. Our room was a standard room, with 2 beds, wireless service for a fee. transportation is excellent around all the Disney properties and parks.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 135very kid friendly
I was unfortunately there for a very long meeting, so I did not get to enjoy many of the amenities. Nevertheless, the resort is quite large with distinct clusters of residences. I was in the Cabanas. My room opened directly to the walkway about 10 yards from the parking lot on the 1st floor. There is a nice fun-shaped kid friendly pool in the cabanas which was nice for my 1-hour in the sun. There is also a fine-powder sand mini-beach a few yards away between the cabanas and the lake. I wish I had more time to enjoy the mini-beach with it's happy green & white striped hammocks. The gym is in the Casitas section which when walking in the hot humid weather seemed like a far ways away from the Cabanas, but it's probably not that far. The gym was a bit cramped, but ventilation was decent. Fresh towels, alcohol wipes for the machines, and filtered water were freely available. [There's another pool in the Casitas which seemed busier than the one by the Cabanas, but that could just be timing.] Food choices were limited and a bit pricey (IMHO) for what you got. But, the best food deal I found were the kid's meals for about $5 (subject to change, of course). You don't need to be a kid to get it: mac&cheese (or cheese pizza or hot dog) + bag of chips + chocolate chip cookie + fruit slice (orange or cluster of strawberries) + apple juice box (or milk or water). The mac&cheese portion size was perfect--even for an adult! Souvenir shop was very friendly. Buses into Downtown Disney were very convenient. They go all around the resort which we didn't know until after the fact. The concierge sells tickets for all the local attractions which simplifies matters. Everything about this place was about kids & family having fun. I would come back in that context. As a meeting venue, it's set apart from Downtown Disney, so food choices are limited so you're forced to concentrate on the meeting. good and bad.
