See more detailsLocation. Located just five miles from downtown Palm Springs, the Desert Oasis Resort is convenient to plenty of chic galleries, trendy eateries, and boutique shopping venues. Helping to offset the desert heat is Knott's Soak City Water Park, located just a short drive from the property. The Indian Canyons are perfect for hiking or horseback riding. Guests willing to make the journey can enjoy the wonders of the Joshua Tree National Forest, about 25 miles from the property.
Hotel Features. The expansive resort features 27 holes holes of golf, eight tennis courts and over 30 outdoor pools and jetted tubs. Hiking and biking trails meander about the property and there is a professional tennis center on site. Guest laundry facilities are located on site and the staff at the 24-hour front desk provides concierge services and tour assistance. Other amenities include barbeque grills and a video library. For a fee, guests can use the fitness center at the country club or at its affiliated hotel.
Guestrooms. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos feature balconies and kitchens with microwave ovens, refrigerators, ranges and cookware. Laundry machine add convenience and CD stereos, VCRs, DVD players and cable television provide entertainment. Complimentary dial-up Internet access is offered in each unit.
Expert Tip. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway climbs 5,900 to the upper slopes of Mount San Jacinto in 14 minutes, allowing for fantastic views of the Coachella Valley. Temperatures are typically 40 degrees cooler than the desert floor, and winter brings with it a snowy wonderland perfect for cross-country skiing and sledding.
