Good business-style hotel

Hotel provided good experience overall. There was a problem with controlling the temperature in the room - I was only staying one night so I didn't complain.

Great location, great staff

The location, with access to the pedway is amazingly convenient. Two malls and the harborfront can be accessed without going outdoors or crossing a street. Very nice in a city that can have some interesting weather. The staff was cheerful, friendly, helpful, without exception.

Wonderful Hotel!

We have stayed at the Delta Barrington numerous times and they never disappoint us. The Delta Barrington has a outstanding; staff, resturant, lounge and the location could not be better. The enclosed pedway makes getting around town, especially in bad weather wonderful. The rooms are extremely nice and comfortable. This has become our #1 choice when visiting Halifax.

Fine, but. . .

Good overall but room carpet, comforter stained; needs a bit of "refreshing." Hotel cafe's lobster dinner was a great deal, but service was slow. Front-desk attention was excellent.

Fantastic location & great deal for the money

The service at the hotel was extremely good. Very friendly and efficient staff. They had great written instructions for local tourist sites but also when we needed to get around in the city they gave great directions and suggestions for restaurants. Fantastic location. With the underground tunnel system it was easy to navigate esp in the rain. The hotel is 2 blocks from the wharfs, about 2 blocks in either direction for outstanding restaurants and clubs, across the street from a shopping mall accessible by tunnel. Valet parking was extremely efficient. The rooms were large and comfortable. The bed was great... The bath was large and very well kept. While we did not use they had computer hookup available. Overall an excellent value for the money and a place I would definitely stay again.

Great Hotel and Location

The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. They checked us in in under 30 seconds, had a clean room awaiting with evening turndown service, and even surprised us with a small dessert sent to our room on the first night (I had only mentioned in passing that it was my wife and my anniversary). The location is great, right in the heart of Halifax within walking distance to 2 malls, the waterfront, and major attractions. Would definitely recommend
