Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 28Under Renovation
We paid for a "room" and got a "Suite". It was, frankly, bigger than the apartment we used to live in! One of The bath/showers didn't work, but it had a full size refrigerator, microwave, dish washer and all the amenities! Yes, they were still renovating but for the price of a regular room? I'll take it anytime!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 28Very good deal
The hotel is located right off the freeway, which was perfect for my needs, since I was just spending the night before I hit the road again the following morning. The bathroom was clean, the staff were friendly, and I didn't hear people at night. Compared with the hotel I stayed at on the way to my destination, it was fabulous, especially since it cost only a few dollars more, and it felt much safer. The television reception isn't great, but other than that, everything was splendid. I didn't check out the pool or anything - I don't even know if they had one. Pretty much just ordered a pizza and hung out in the room.

Convienient for us driving to Chicago and needing to stop. Free breakfast and lots of stores/restaurants just down the street.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 28Road trip stop
My girlfriend and I needed a place to stop between NYC and Chicago and this was the perfect distance to get most of the driving out of the way the first day. The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable. They also had the best hotel breakfast I've ever seen in the morning which made getting back on the road much nicer.

There was no soap in my room and there was a lot of noise from the adjacent airport.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 28Great Hotel
We arrived very late for our check-in and the front desk clerk (manager) was very polite and informative. We had an issue with our reservation and the clerk was able to assist me in getting it resolved. She informed us of the breakfast but we did not utilize this service as we chose to sleep in that morning. Our room was very neat and clean. The room was very quiet (could not hear anyone in the hallway in the morning. The other manager in the morning was very helpful as well. We asked for two wakeup calls and actually received three as the clerk realized how exhausted we were from our drive down. I would recommend this hotel to others. The price is good and not over inflated. There in free internet in the lobby as well.

Much nicer on the inside than it looked on the outside.

I had 2 problems with the room: 1. It was not completely furnished - I had to ask for a desk chair & the hair drier was missing. (I air dried my hair!) 2. Restaurants were 6 miles away, 12 round trip. Why be close to the turnpike if you have to drive for services?

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 28Great stay for the cost!
The Days Inn Swanton was a great stay for the price. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful-- although not in uniform. My boyfriend and I stayed here while visiting Cedar Point. The hotel is about an hour away from the amusement park-- far enough away that the price isn't inflated! Another great quality: The Days Inn is minutes away from many restaurants, including large national chains.

I have paid far more and received much less in other hotels. The staff was competent and friendly; the room well-equipped. I would recommend this hotel to others, particularly those who need to be close to the airport.
