Good room; okay price

The room was small, but clean and comfy. Thought the price was a little high for what we got, although it was one of the better deals we saw in OBX area.

Very used hotel

You can tell that this hotel is used very frequently. The room had a funny smell, but went away once we put the ac on and opened the door for a few minutes. The view was beautiful, but I wouldn't consider this a 5 star hotel. It just had a very used smell and feel to it.

This hotel has good beach access and a nice large pool. Hotel has a lot of wear, but it seemed to have a lot of sprucing up being done (they were painting while we were there.) The staff could not keep the breakfast bar stocked with the number of people there.

You pay for location

I wanted a hotel on the beach, with a pool, that was clean and non-scary. So in those ways, this hotel was exactly what I wanted. Cons: The room was pretty tiny-we could barely get past the bed to the bathroom. The outdoor space left a little to be desired and wasn't exactly the most peaceful place to stay. The internet was not working correctly for our entire stay, so that was annoying. Pros: Free breakfast. Awesome beach access. Good location. Nice/clean pool. Lifeguarded beach. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Family friendly location.

Great room for beach vacation

Altho we didn't have an oceanfront room we could sit on the balcony/walkway and face the water. It was lovely and the time of year (early June) made it a little less crowded. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The little kitchenette was a nice surprise and would have been great for a longer stay. We were only there one night.

Great Location

Wonderful location in Nags Head. Double non-smoking rooms are small and I wouldn't want to stay for a week in the tight quarters. Great for a weekend. Breakfast was available each morning and was a nice spread. A little pricey overall for what you get. I have stayed here several times and would go back.

Decent hotel in great location

Great location, nice sized rooms and wonderful view of the ocean - shame the windows don't open so you have to rely on air conditioning all the time.

Old Fashioned but Perfectly Satisfactory

Layout of the Motel is very old fashioned. Access to room on second floor of one of the three buildings was by inconvenient stairs on far end of building. Room and bathroom were very clean and neat with new carpet bedspread, adequate towels and furniture.Nice and quiet. Don't waste money on "oceanside" . Motel has walkway galleys outside all rooms. If you open draperies you are in a storefront while people walk by and beach is a good distance away. Breakfast room was small but very new and clean. Cereal, waffles, toast.
