NOT VERY CLEAN

AFTER ARRIVING @ 11:00 PM WHEN ENTERING OUR NON SMOKONG ROOM THE SMELL OF SMOKE WAS HORRIBLE THE BEDS WERE MADE BUT NOT VERY NEATLY AND AFTER LOOKING IN THE RESTROOM DISCOVERED A PILE OF DIRTY TOWELS WE REALIZED THIS ROOM HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED THEY DID PUT US IN ANOTHER ROOM IT WAS NOT A VERY CLEAN HOTEL

Good experience

I, have stayed in several Days Inns, along the east coast and have found them more than adequate for my needs. I heard some negative comments from an aquaintance about this particular one, but took a chance anyway. I was not disappointed. I was told the floors vibrated and some areas had funny odors, but we didn't find that when we stayed there. To the contrary, we were very pleased. The staff was cordial and our room was clean. We stayed in a Queen double and were not cramped. We had free internet, and as with all the Days Inns I have stayed at a microwave and refrigerator, which was very convenient. About the only negative I can say, was that the free continental breakfast, could have had more choices, but we managed. Our room was comfortable, the beds were also and even though we were next to the interstate, noise was minimal and caused no problems sleeping. Look, it's not high class, but we got above average accomodations for below average price and when you are on a fixed income like us, that is not only a big deal, but a "great" deal.

Far from UDEL

Very clean and comfortable room. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. Located on the outskirts of Newark, which I didn't realize when I booked the room.

Customer Service

The hotel itself was not so bad. It was clean and the room was ok. My problem was the people that worked at the front desk. They did not speak good english and were very hard to understand. They were not very friendly.

Day's Inn, Newark, Delaware

I was there to be close to my Dad as he had a very bad car accident so I wanted to be as close as possible to the hospital. The first night I spent there the room was OK however they should never put a women in the back of the hotel facing the parking lot next to a highway, completely unsafe. The second night my husband came to stay with me for two nights and they still put us in a parking lot however on the second floor. I went home for one day and checked back in and they did put me in a room closer to the front desk, the room still had cheese doodles stuck in the chair, candy wrappers on the floor and chips under the bed. It was very dirty.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly.

Excellent Value

The Hotel has some very courteous staff who made my stay very pleasnt. The front office Manager, Mr. Kamlesh was very knowedgeabe of the area & went out of way to accomodate me as I was visiting the area for the first time. The rooms were clean & well kept. I would definately recommend this Hotel to anyone passing through the area, as it is very conveneintly located right off I-95.

needs improvement

the 1st hotel room wasn't the cleanliness of rooms, so we moved to another room, which was dirty as well. it was also very loud and noisy till late at night. for the price we paid i guess we expected something nicer. i would not stay there ever again!!!!

Great location, close to highway, loved our stay. Will use this hotel whenever we are in the area.

needs improvement

The bed was horrible, it was so uncomfortable. When we arrived we found a kids hair band beside the bed, don't know how well the cleaned the room to miss it. and the big thing is NOBODY SPOKE ENGLISH which can be a problem when trying to check in and out.
