The only positive is that the Receptionist was friendly and helpful. It looked like the gym equipment was unplugged. Wallpaper was peeling. Worst of all was the smell in the hallway. It smelled like smokers had just smoked several packs of cigarettes each. The smell had also worked its way into the room.

This is an old hotel and has not been rehabbed and the hotel and the hallways stunk of stale cigarettes The business center didn't work and the hotel clerk said it was a constant problem

We did not use any amenities such as the breakfast or pool ... simply looking for a place to rest and relax. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows and we were able to eat in the room which was great. The halls and elevator were very musty smelling although the room itself was not. There was a black slimy mildew at the bottom of the shower curtain though - gross! Otherwise everything was fine and the staff was very personable. I would stay here again.

This hotel was okay for the money. They did have some rooms for guests with dogs, but I did not have a pet along. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The room was fine, but the bathroom was a bit dirty with torn wallpaper spots on the walls.

Days Inn of Mount Vernon has been consistently comfortable and a good place to stay. The beds and pillows are great to sleep on and the rooms are always clean. However, this hotel also has consistent problems. The "continental" breakfast is just plain bad. Donuts and cereal are not a reward for staying the night there. The hotel staff have always been stiff and almost uninviting. They are suitable for a pawn shop but not friendly enough for a hotel. All in all I would recommend Days Inn of Mount Vernon for the comfort but warn them about the staff and breakfast.

The room was great the bed was comfortable but the continental breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Would I stay there again? Yes
