Not bad for cost

Hotel was not bad at all for the cost. I am a college student so I had very low requirements for a good stay, so it exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a safe place to stay for a low cost, and this hotel was exactly what I was looking for. As the other reviews suggest, even non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. When I got up from my bed my clothes smelled like smoke as well. The staff was friendly and accomodating.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to both Plymouth and Boston and for its affordability. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I would not recommend it--the room was dirty, the free breakfast was okay if you enjoy sugar and carbs, and the walls were paper thin. We won't be staying here again.

Great hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed here for just one night and looked for one of the cheapest hotels in the area. This one greatly exceeded our expectations. It was the first hotel that I've ever stayed in with a flat-screen TV, not a huge deal but still it was kind of nice. Also had a microwave and fridge for no extra cost to us. The attendants were friendly and were even understanding when we checked out an hour late. Would definitely stay here again.

Needs Improvement

Our stay was nice there. However there was a plumbing problem the first night. But the matter was resolved quickly. Could have been more variety on the breakfast menu as well. The staff at the hotel were nice and polite.

Great Hotel-needs better maid service

Bathroom was in need of a good cleaning, walls and floors could have used a good washing down

You get what you pay for

This is a two star hotel, and our experience was pretty much exactly what we expected. Nothing special, but a decent place to spend the night when we didn't want to deal with the inconvenience of driving an hour back to Boston, and an hour back to Carver, MA, as we were attending two events in the Carver area in the same weekend. We were disappointed that we couldn't get a non-smoking room, and, honestly, most of the 2nd floor smelled like cigarette smoke anyway, so I don't know that a non-smoking room would've been a whole lot better than the smoking one we had. The breakfast was fair, and we couldn't have any waffles because they'd turned off the machine early and apparently it takes 30 minutes to warm back up (this seemed suspicious, and I think they just didn't feel like letting us use it). Also, by the time we got down to breakfast a group that appeared to be the hotel staff and their family members were in the breakfast area eating, and we felt a bit like we were inconveniencing them by being there. Of course, the breakfast was free, so I can't complain too much. But, the rate for the evening was quite low, and all in all the experience was fine, and basically met our expectations. As the title says, you get what you pay for.

Backache & Smokey Halls

So, when I walked in the room, I went looking for an outlet to plug in my laptop. They're all completely filled & then some. It is such a fire hazard. The hallways REEK of smoke, and the beds are horrible. My boyfriend & I had such bad back aches when we got up in the morning. My boyfriend actually went & slept on the couch for a few hours because the bed hurt him so much.
