Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 88View
The falls view is what we wanted - and it was disappointing. The hotel itself is absolutely wonderful, but if you are wanting a falls view, find a newer hotel with a much larger window. The price for this hotel and the view is not worth it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 88Nice but rooms need updating.
Staff was wonderful. We were able to get a free upgrade to a room with a partial view of the Falls -- after reading about this in a hotels.com review. The only downside was that the bathrooms are very tiny, the lighting there is dim and the sounds of water being used anywhere near our room came through the thin walls.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 88Great Location, Awesome Price, Would Stay Again
The location was more than ideal. Price was very fair. People were extremely helpful and it was a great experience. The pics online demonstrate exactly what the hotel looks like in person. No complaints.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 88Older-style elegance, pay for parking
I upgraded my standard room, and was pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and view. Excellent location, very short walk to the falls, horseshoe falls are a bit of a hike, but only 10 min walk or so. Room showed some wear from age, but was filled with golden age charm. Had to pay extra $15 for parking, which I felt was unnecessary, but they won me over with the room.

Walking distance to Falls and most attractions. Very comfy beds, very clean. Rooms are small, could have used a mini fridge - but very comfortable.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 88needs major improvment
we stayed in two rooms at the hotel, expecting a decent, if not pleasing experience but we got was anything but pleasant. The door to the room was jammed and neede a push and yank to close, the inner lock was broken, the bathrooms was smaller then my broom closet, and the shower was even smaller. literally! The beds were not side by side, but facing eachother, and even though the frnt desk told us there were connecting doors, when we came we found out that they have no such rooms. there was no airconditioning and the rooms and hallways were stuffy. Even after I complained, they said thats how things are in our hotel, if I could of I would have stayed somewhere else. I do Not suggest staying here better to go to a motel 6 then this hotel

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 88Outstanding Hotel
We stayed there for only one night, but the experience we had at the hotel was wonderful. For my mom who is a clean-freak, she highly praised the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. The room was smaller than typical, but nonetheless, very comfortable. I especially liked the old photographs hanging on the walls. The hotel is just in front of the Rainbow bridge and walking distance to the Clifton Hill, where the restaurants, arcades, and shops are. The Rainbow room is a nice restaurant on the 10th floor overlooking the falls. My family is planning on going back Spring of 2010, and we are definitely looking forward to stay at this hotel again.
