I should have read everyone elses review because of course I wasnt warned while looking at their site that their was a price to park at their hotel. When we got into the room I noticed a spoon with what looked like a days old spoonful of chocolate. We had a small problem with the heat but the second night it worked alot better. These were all little things but it didnt ruin my stay. The view from our room and the surrounding area made it all worth while.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 38Great Price!
I stayed here the night before my med school interview at Case Western. For the price I paid, I was very satisfied with the caliber of room I got. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was really clean. I also pre-ordered breakfast room service and it was brought at the time I requested and was delicious and large for the price. My only qualm is that I was charged a lot to park in the garage, even though that was not mentioned at check-in when I gave them my parking ticket. The restaurant in the lobby has pretty good food for descent prices.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 38Disappointed
Having stayed with other Crowne Plaze hotels in the recent past, we were very disappointed in the Cleveland property. Until 12 months ago, the property was a Sheraton. In a year's time you would expect upgrades or remodeling to be in evidence. Everything is worn down or worn out. The restaurant is in the basement, so you miss out on the cityscape and Lake views. (WHO made that design decision?) Absolutely the best hotel location if you're interested in the Great Lakes Science Museum, the Rock Hall of Fame, or Browns games. Theatre district was a bit of a walk, but still do-able. Our sense is that the property is understaffed and has not received training in area sites and activities. They could not provide a walking map of the city. Rather than give us directions to specific sites, they told us "Oh, that's a tourist thing. There's probably a flier about it in the rack over there. You can find their phone number. Or we can look it up for you." (True....it happened twice with different desk personnel.)

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 38Goodbye Clevelane
We stopped here for a night on a drive back to Chicago from New York. The plan was to get in late, crash, and check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the morning. We found the room listed for a reasonable price for a king suite and booked it. We give this property mixed reviews. There were a few things we liked about it, but a few things that needed work. First of all, we booked what was listed as a “Lakeview suite.” Upon checking in we discovered it had no view of the lake. We were not tremendously disappointed, as a view of Lake Erie isn’t exactly the same as an oceanfront view at the Westin Maui. Still, they had advertised a view and we did not have one. I asked them to change our room at the front desk to a room with a view and was informed that they didn’t have any more king suites available on higher floors – the floors that actually had views. I asked why WE didn’t have a king suite with a view, as our reservation indicated. The friendly woman apologized and said that all rooms on that side of the building are called “lakeview,” even though the ones on the lower floors don’t have a view of the lake. So, technically, we were in a “lakeview” room…even if technically we had no view of the lake. Go figure that one out. The hotel also had a pretty bad funk, from the moment we stepped off the garage elevator, down the hallways, and right up to our room, where, thankfully, the funk ended. The room itself smelled fresh and was exceedingly large. It was actually more space than we ever would have needed…and almost seemed a waste of space considering the lack of furnishings. The king size bed was nice, and comfortable. We enjoyed a simple breakfast buffet at Pimento’s as part of our stay, but were only given two breakfast discount coupons with our stay…even though there were three of us in the room. “Sorry, sir, we can only give out two per room.” Free wireless access was a big plus considering how so many properties gouge their guests with exorbitant access f

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 38a little pricy, but overall a nice place to stay.
The hotel was nice, a little pricy for just 2 days but our room was very clean and comfortable. We had an abundance of pillows on the very comfy bed. When checking in I mentioned we were in town to see the Detroit tiger/Indians game for our anniversary and the desk clerk gave us free breakfast. Surrounding area has lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance as is the stadium. the only problem we encountered were the elevators. Our room was on the 20th floor and after a game you can have a lengthy wait and when checking out on a sunday, but we would definately stay here again.
