Descent Hotel Facility but Great Great Service

The room is not as impressive as I thought it would be since I book an EXECUTIVE suite. However, the service is fantastic. Hotels.com mentions executive suites include breakfast, but it doesn't unless you specifically ask for it.

Ordinary Conveniences Lacking

No Fridge, No Microwave (standard at the Hamptons & Holiday Inn Expressess that I usually stay at. No Free Breakfast. No Free parking. Hotel charges $6 EXTRA per day for parking-(2) levels are outdoors. Hotel charges $12 for breakfast unless you are a Priority club member. Ice & Vending are on ONE floor of a 9 story hotel.

Adequate

The hotel is exactly what you would expect, given the location, price, and corporate ownership. The only surprise was a six dollar parking fee in an attached garage that is in extremely poor repair and leaked residue all over my car.

well worth the price

Even with paying for parking, this room was worth its price. The staff were very pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were clean, warm and appreciated. We missed having a refrigerator and microwave, but were aware our room would not have them. I did find it a bit odd that we had to go from our 8th floor room to the 2nd floor to get ice.

Charges for parking

Although it's a nice hotel, they charge for parking in their garage. In a large metropolitan area (e.g. San Fran) I might expect that, but not in Pittsfield.

Need Friendly Hotel Clerk Attendant

When I first arrived there, the Hotel Front Dest Attendant was very subdue. It seem like he didn't want to be there. He didn't greet me friendly or even explain anything about the parking or how to get to my room. I was ready to leave and go somewhere else. If you are planning on parking at the Crowne Plaza Berkshire, you need to pay $6.00 per day to park there. I didn't know that until I read it in small print on the bill I was signing. If you are paying directly to Hotel.com, please bring your receipt with you. The hotel ends up giving you the hotel.com bill under your door on the day you are leaving. I looked at the bill and thought I had to pay the bill all over again. It included the parkng in the bill. I brought it to the hotel clerk and she said that the bill was supposed to go to hotel.com instead of me. I did had to pay for the parking separate from the bill the hotel.com had to pay. The hotel.com bill rates were alot cheaper than what I paid on line. Hopefully they pay us the difference since the rates dropped from the time I made reservations. The desk clerk in the morning on the day we were leaving was very friendly. She corrected my bill and I was able to just pay for the parking. Other than the hotel clerk being unfriendly when I checked in, our stay was very pleasant. We mostly used it for sleeping and the first night my husband used the pool.

Read fine Print

Our family went to the hotel to shop for the weekend and see sites. The hotel was easy to find and parking was great. However, the stay would have been perfect except they tried to make me pay for the bill twice. If anyone goes to this hotel please keep all receipt and do not believe Gace Daley the Revenue Manager that she is blaming Hotels.com for the problem. We had paid for one night stay on the internet and one day in cash once we arrived. She tried to tell me that she only saw the Hotels.com payment. This was taken care of because I had my receipt. If I did not have my receipt it probably would have been a problem. Just remember the hotle was nice and the room did not have heat at first but was turned on when I called the front desk. The iron leaked water and never got hot at all. I called the front desk and no one ever came with another iron. Overall it wa okay, except for when I woke up I saw a bill on the floor at 4 a.m. and this was upsetting since I had paid the bill in case and internet with Hotels.com.

needs improvement

hotel was under staff on one of their busy seasons. The room had no small refrigerator or microwave and for the price I pay it should have. I paid less in other hotels that had these items. If you wanted a microwave in your room there was a $25 a day fee. The pool area was a mess and there were no towels available. Hotel employees were unconcered with our needs.

Could be better for the money we spent

When we got into our room, the heat didn't work and was very cold when we got there, they forgot to turn our heat on from the lobby. The toilet wasn't working properly, it kept running until my husband fixed it. The people were very friendly, though, they did end up giving us a discount on our room. The pool and hot tub area was very nice, but area was very cold.
