Tipo de viaje: With Friends Reseña 1 de 4Ok location, great staff, needs updating.
Upon arriving at the hotel I was greeted by the front desk clerk and owner who were both very nice. They showed me to my room, gave me a map of the city, and a recommendation for somewhere close to eat. The room was not what I expected. It needed updating. There were some holes in the wall and holes in the floor. The shower head was not installed correctly and would not move. It shot right into my face and the stall was so small you could not avoid it. There were stains on the sheets and the furniture was torn up and worn out. However, the location was good..in a residential area, but close to bourbon street. The staff was also very nice and very helpful. I think I definately got what I paid for and if on a budget, like this trip, would stay again. Just wish they would do some updating to the rooms.

Tipo de viaje: Not Provided Reseña 2 de 4Lower Garden District Gem
Great location at the edge of downtown in the Lower Garden District, a more urban version of the Garden District. Messy but full of character, great staff and owner, dog friendly, great potential as surrounding buildings are renovated. Easy bike ride to French Quarter, Marigny, Magazine, Crescent City Farmer's Market. Breakfast could be nicer (greener, local food etc.) but the chef makes up for everything with her friendly demeanor!

Tipo de viaje: Business Reseña 3 de 4Outstanding B&B
Some folks go to NOLA to drink. Some folks go to NOLA to do art and food. Some folks go to NOLA because the city has a soul and is unlike anywhere else in the US. I fall into the later group. If you want to get a little closer to what it's like to live in NOLA (I lived there for 2 years) then you want to stay here. You check in in the former living room of a home, walk through the twisty, art strewn rooms and halls to a large open patio and eventually find your way to your room. I stayed in a bordello on this trip - gold cloth and red walls with nice wooden floors an a large, comfortable bed. No phone and no clock and wireless internet; what more could you ask for! I didn't get a chance to partake of the breakfast but the coffee was exceptional and the menu certainly didn't look disappointing at all. The hotel is block off St Charles so you have ready access to the trolley. Go the other way and you're on Magazine street with any number of local food options. You're very close to the antique district, a trolley ride from the art district, a short walk to the convention center and a slightly longer one to the quarter. All in all I had a great stay for a great price and I will stay here the next time I make the trip.
