    We selected this hotel because it is close to the airport but it is actually about 2 miles away. You'll need to take a shuttle, at 6 euros per person, or a taxi to get there. If you have 3 people or more in your group is cheaper to take a taxi. Also you have to schedule the shuttle and prepay to be dropped or picked-up from the airport so don't forget to call ahead. There is no shuttle from 12:35 to 4:00. Unbelievable! The TVs have channels for a lot of languages but only CNBC, BBC, a Russian channel, a Japanese channel, and Bloomberg for English speakers. why would I be interested in Japanese news in English???? The food is terribly expensive and just average. 20 euros for the breakfast buffet. We just walked down the street to a local bar and had breakfast for 3 euros for both of us. The rooms were fine and the service was good. We needed a cork screw to open a bottle of wine and the waiter came to the room right away to open the bottle. The pillows were bad, dense and hard.

Location. The Courtyard by Marriott Rome Airport hotel in Rome, Italy, is located in Fiumicino town, just three kilometres from Rome Fiumicino Airport. The hotel is two kilometres from Fiumicino Port, three kilometres from the Roman Ship Museum and five kilometres from Ostia Antica. Central Rome is 25 kilometres away.

Hotel Features. The modern Courtyard by Marriott runs a shuttle service to and from the airport (surcharge) on request. There is a pool and library on site, and 24- hour front desk staff are on hand to assist guests with tours to downtown Rome.

Italian and Mediterranean dishes are served in the Glass Bar and Restaurant, which also offers homemade ice cream. Traditional Italian cuisine is served in the relaxed setting of La Trattoria restaurant.

The hotel has eight meeting rooms. Wireless and high-speed Internet access are available. Complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby, which also has a television.

During the summer, the Courtyard by Marriott opens its outdoor swimming pool and sun deck. The hotel has a gym and provides discounts to another nearby fitness centre. Proximity to the marina means a variety of watersports are available in the vicinity, along with cycle rental, tennis and golf.

Guestrooms. The hotel's 187 climate- controlled guestrooms are modern in style, and decorated in bright colours. All rooms have satellite television, high-speed Internet ports, minibars and safes. Some rooms offer business desks with electrical points and speaker phones.

Expert Tip. The seaside town of Fregene on the Tyrrhenian coast is just 14 kilometres away.
