Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 53Suprised
I looked at hotels.com for a hotel cheaper than the host hotel for a triathlon I was racing in D.C. The room was $70 cheaper, two blocks from the mall. Very accomodating for late check out to let me shower after my race. I intend to go to the same hotel for a weekend get away next month. Keep up the great work and Attitude.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 53Great for site seeing!
Wonderful location within walking distance of all major DC attractions. 2 metro stops close by. The National Zoo is a quick 3-4 stop metro ride away. Verizon center if you are intersted in a hockey or basketball game is also around the corner. Many good restaurants including one in the hotel. Pool is small but we didn't care, we were there to take in the sites, not to swim. Will definitely stay there again!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 53Excellent service
We were very pleased with this hotel. We had spent the previous 2 nights at a Crowne Plaza in Williamsburg VA that was very disappointing, so the contrast was notable. The location was great, same block as the Spy Museum and Portrait Gallery, and an easy walk to the Mall. Jazzmin at the front desk was wonderful - professional, helpful, charming. We would definitely use this hotel on a return trip.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 53Best Location in DC
Great Location! We were able to walk to everything. The staff is very friendly and able to accommodate most requests. When I arrived, I opted for the valet parking since I nearly kissed the ground after arriving safely through DC traffic. Cyril, the valet supervisor, is a great guy. His service is pricy but unless it is a weekend day it is competitive. If you arrive on a Sat or Sun you can get parking on the opposite side of the block on E St for 1/3 the price. The buffet breakfast is very good and the restaurant staff are great. They loved my little blond haired 7 year old Mikaila and showered her with free ice cream. If you visit the hotel, tell Cyril or the restaurant staff that Mikaila said hello.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 53Convenient location, nice rooms
Not a location with a lot of nightlife, so if you're looking for places to eat late at night, stay elsewhere or be prepared to ride the Metro to Georgetown. That said, the location was great for everything else - just a few blocks from the White House and the Mall. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was a pretty good bargain (though not free). My only real complaint was the shower - they had a straight tub but a curved shower curtain rod, so the bathroom floor was completely soaked when I was done. And the water pressure wasn't great either.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 53Great location in DC
This hotel is located near a lot of the Washington DC attractions. Most of the biggest are within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants and stores in a 4 block area and the Metro has 2 stops from 1 to 3 blocks away. We thought the staff was very helpful and gracious. My son graduated on the National Mall so we had to store our bags on that day until after the ceremony had concluded and there was no problem storing the bags or picking them up afterward. We would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 53Conveniently Located
The room was a little smaller than some I've stayed in, but for being a business traveler, it was sufficient. It was also very conveniently located, which was the entire reason for booking this hotel/location.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 53small room for the money
The location was great for visiting the national mall venues. However for the money the room was very small. The sink was in the room not in the bath and i kept banging my arms against the closet door while using the sink to wash or shave. The bar in the lobby served food but was very pricy.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 53Hotel nice but you have to pay for parking
The hotel was clean & very nice. I was disappointed with the parking. There is no onsite parking. You have to pay to have it valeted (which was a bit expensive) to a parking garage that is 2 blocks away!
