Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 40Fantastic price for a quality hotel
I was nervous about this hotel when I looked at the price and then when I got there I realized I had gotten a great deal. This is not the Marriott but you will not fine a nice, safe, clean hotel with indoor corridors for this price very often. I have paid a lot more for a lot less before. I will stay here every time I'm in Tuscaloosa if I can get this good of a deal again.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 40Generally a Good Hotel, Could Be Better
I arrived at check-in time, but a clean room wasn't ready, so I had to kill an hour while they cleaned and got a room ready. I was tired after a long drive, but what could I do? That said, the staff person at the front desk was wonderful, got me a luggage cart from another floor, was friendly and efficient. Room was fine for what I paid, but water pressure in bathroom basin was rather weak. Fifteen minutes after I went to bed, an odd noise seemed to come from the hall--either a siren or a vacuum cleaner. I called the front desk, and they said they were investigating the noise, as everyone all over the hotel could hear. I never found out what that was about, but the noise stopped almost as soon as I called. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was passable. If I were traveling through Tuscaloosa again, I'd use this hotel if it were another quick one-night stay.

THIS WAS A FOUR STAR HOTEL FOR A TWO-STAR PRICE!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 40Better in person
The hotel actually was nicer in person than in pictures. Loby and surrounding areas were nice and clean, but our "non-smoking room must have been a convert because it was musty. Beds were very uncomfortable, but it was very inexpensive and convenient for an 8 hour sleep and then back on the road.

Breakfast was a little too plain. Later stopped by McDonald's.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 40Only one minor problem
This is a GREAT CHAIN of hotels! First one I've stayed that did NOT have a covered drive-up for check-in -- and my luck, it was lightly raining upon check-in. Everything else was perfect, except that no clerk was available when we left at 6:30 am (not that big a deal).

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 40Nice
Nice hotel and 2 1/2 star rating fits fine. Things were clean and the people were nice. The breakfast was below average and you ought to skip the rubber eggs. There weren't many good choices. The decor was sort of country bumpkin tacky with plastic plants. The place was overall nice though and the beds were pretty good. I'm glad we stayed there versus most of the other places in T-Town.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 40Problem Solver
I had a problem when I arrived because the two rooms were not connected, or even next to each other. The hotel staff worked to secure me two rooms that were side by side. This was important because I and my wife were traveling with children and wanted to be close to them. The only two problems I had was that I had to pay an upgrade of $30 for a suite and the two rooms, although side by side, did not have a connecting door between them; therefore, we had to go into the hallway to go into the room with the kids. Please consider adding, or making more prominent, an area for guest notes during the order process. Thank you,
