    This hotel leaves a lot to be desired in many respects and was overall a great dissappointment, especially given the price. We arrived 2 hours early of the check in time (3pm) and were told we could stay on the premises for an additional $10 per person or would have to leave and come back after 3pm. Once we got the room, the A/C was broken and was not fixed for 5 hours and only after complaining 3 times. There were no towels in the room. The room, bathroom, and furnishings were all in a very poor state. I have stayed at numerous resorts in the Dominican Republic and this was by far the worst one and one of the most expensive.

    I use to visit this hotel since late 2000. It is NOT the same hotel. The quality of food, people, atmosphere, and all around look and feel of the hotel was much better years ago, then what it is now. This past weekend, my stay there was not at all how I wanted it to be. There were too many people that did not have class, it was too rowdy, crowded and lines had to be formed to get to eat at the restaurants. The quality of the food wasn't the greatest either. I could say the only great thing was the access to the AMAZING beach. That is something I wanted to bring back home with me!

Costa Caribe Coral Resort, an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic, is located 30 kilometers from the International Airport of Las Américas. Guavaberry Golf & Country Club is four kilometers away. Just two blocks from coffee shops and shopping, active guests can take advantage of the convenient location and on-site fitness center, walking track and tennis court.

The resort houses five restaurants, six bars and evening shows. El Fogon features local Dominican fare and entertainment every evening. Reservations are required at El Charro, which serves Mexican cuisine for dinner. The main restaurant, the Ambar Buffet, serves continental and American breakfast, lunch and dinner, with themed buffets nightly.

The resort also features a casino and an Internet room. The casino contains 56 slot machines, eight blackjack tables, two Caribbean poker tables, four roulette wheels, a craps table and a poker table. The resort's large disco, Skape, boasts a raised dance floor and banquette seating. Three pools, two along the beach and a third "quiet pool" near the casino, are alternatives to the sea. The concierge can book excursions and tours for exploration of the island. Resort facilities include a 24-hour sports bar, a supervised children's club, an open-air stage with plaza seating for nightly shows, a massage center, and a beauty salon.

Each of the Costa Caribe Coral Resort's 532 guestrooms showcase ocean or garden views and feature patios or balconies. The guestrooms feature rattan and dark wood furniture, tile floors and tropical patterns. Room amenities include minibars, dial-up Internet access (surcharge) and in- room safes (surcharge).
