Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 120Coral Reef Inn Alameda
Carpet are old and has smell, room cleaning is not good, found on walls and floor hair from previous guest. Location is great. IF room condition were better, I will not might paying more.

The room was clean & comfortable with a kitchenette. It was big, and felt very homey. I was completely satisfied with my stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 120Location, Location, Location
Coral Reef's infrastructure is a little long in the tooth, but everything else about it exceeded expectations: large rooms, friendly staff, and a magnificent location, a few hundred feet from San Francisco Bay and right across the street from Alameda Town Center, with lots of restaurants, two supermarkets, a 24-hour pharmacy and a great little bundle-service laundry. Full kitchenettes with dining area in every room, a private balcony or patio, TONS of closet space, all at a VERY attractive price for the area. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit the area.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 120Coral Reef Rocks
Sitting just a half a block from the San Francisco Bay this older motel features large rooms with kitchenettes. You can go beach walking along the bay with views of "The City", take a run on the beach or head to the south and run along the trail alng the waterfront. There are multiple restarounts right acrss the streer, inlcuding the Sushi House, my favorite and main street Alameda with an eclectic mix of shps and restaraunts is just down the street. If you are into flat screen tv's and luxury rooms, this isn't for you. If you want a great location and a comfortable, safe feeling this is your spot.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 120Great room for the money
We stayed here for 3 nights while we visited our grandchildren. It was great. The room was very big, with lots of closet space and a kitchenette. The pool was fabulous and our grands spent happy hours swimming. It was clean but not so fancy that we worried about the kids getting crumbs on the floor. It was just what we wanted.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 120Outdated but Good Location
We have stayed at the Coral Reef many times over the past several years because the location suits our needs - easy walking distance to our family and the main part of town. They have made some improvements to the hotel but the carpets are in need of cleaning and there are other upgrades that would improve the overall appearance. Staff is generally helpful.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 120Bad Customer Service
Upon Checking in they gave us keys to a room that already had guests in it. Then switched the room and gave us a bad key. After that they questioned how many people were in the room because I had my family helping me get checked in because it was very late at night. I use these suites very often and this was the worst service I have ever recieved here.
