Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 66Excellent Hotel
Really comfortable bed, in a great, relaxed part of the East Village- room was a bit small, but that NY for you. I would stay here again for sure. Like the Champagne when you arrive.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 66Modern Hotel With Great Views
We stayed here for 3 nights in October 09. We reserved a standard corner room but once we were in it, realized we just needed more space and upgraded to the Cooper Suite 1. It was a great idea, there were amazing views and big windows from both rooms. The service here was really great and we enjoyed the attached bar. Very convenient location, just make sure you know the nearby cross streets for cab service back, because most drivers did not know where Cooper Square was. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 66Very Hip Hotel
There are not many hotels in the West Village, so if that is where you want to be, you don't really have a lot of choice. Although this hotel is a bit more expensive than I would like, it was quite a luxury to stay there. I was taking my daughter to start school at Cooper Union, so the location was ideal - just one block away. We arrived late and were upgraded to a larger room. It was still small (this is NYC after all), but incredibly comfortable. Comfortable bed, great linens, nice bathroom, and decorated with old books! I look forward to staying here again when I visit my daughter.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 66great room for the money
The price for this hotel was excellent! However, I requested champagne and strawberries upon arrival. When I received the bill upon check out, there was a charge for room service, which was fine. However, there was an additional charge for preparing it in the kitchen. I thought this was absolutely absurd. Also, there isn't really a front desk, which I thought was really strange. Overall, the hotel was perfect. Everything in the room was brand new, absolutely clean and very comfortable. If I needed to stay in that area of the city again, I would definitely stay there....

Love this hotel. Great, hip ambiance. Incredible service - I was served a glass of champagne during check-in. Beautiful modern rooms with very comfortable beds. I recommend it highly.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 66Great View
Ask for a corner room at a high level, the views are spectaculr. As always rooms in New York are very very small but overall this is a good hotel in a good location and we found the staff to be very helpful. Only negative thing, the bar and restaurant are very dark but this seems to be a trend in NY.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 66East Village Hotel
very modern hotel. Better lighting in the very small guest rooms would be helpful. However, the comfort of the bed is probably the best I have experienced in any recent hotel stay. And, the quietness for sleeping was terrific. Located in East Village, you will run up cab fares to/from mid-town,but, the unique shopping and restaurants of East Village, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village can make this an excellent location.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 66Outstanding service! Wonderful bed and cool bathroom.
The hotel is very cool and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The clientele is pretty young in general. I really liked everything about it except my room was very small. I did book the least expensive room so I wasn't really disappointed.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 66Good hotel too trendy at times
The hotel is very progressive with no front desk and highly designed rooms. However it is lacking in some basic necessities like signage on bathroom doors, and proper alarm clocks in the rooms. Rooms are small but big enough for two people for a weekend. Neighborhood is great for young people but is crowded and loud. The rooms could be more insulated from the hall way, every time someone on the hall closes a door there is a loud "boom." Very clean (it's new) but late at night drunk people from the restaurant may make a mess (there was vomit in one of the elevators and one was stuck or in limited access so we were down to basically one elevator for the whole building) Very prompt service, calls to housekeeping were answered right away with someone coming to the room in <15 min to change sheets to featherless.
