Great location for the price. Clean but run-down,secure but pay parking.

Trip Type: Family Review 17 of 269Good value
Can't beat the price and location. Short stroll to the bay. Convenient to taxi and shopping. Two blocks from Cuban restaurants or starbucks. Great view of port from upper floors. Some rooms freshly painted some not. Linens are clean and servicable but not luxury by any means. Overall clean and reasonable for the amount of time spent there. Basic needs covered- not a luxe retreat.

For the money we paid and the location we got, I guess I shoudn't have been surprised by the condition of the hotel. The rooms, at the very least, need a coat of paint. The view was great, as was the location to the port for our cruise. I can't believe it hasn't been torn down and a new high rise put there.

The hotel is old and run down..... the rooms are outdated , our mattress must have been a 100 years old ..the springs were broken....when I went to use the hair dryer it was broken ,the maintance man gave me a key to the room next door so I could use the blow dryer. The title floor in the elevator was broken. I was very upset by the time we left this place..

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 20 of 269it was good for the price, but not great
some one tried to break into our room while we were taking a nap, the hotel was ok.. not great, but it was cheap and in a really good location.. so it's just a matter of how much you want to pay.

Great location. Good and clean bathroom. Unconfortable beds. I understand that inexpensive hotels won't "look good", but it could look nicer.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 22 of 269Acceptable for the money and neighborhood
It's fare for the price I pay. I just need a room to spend two nights before my cruise. It meets my basis expectation. It's neat, but the blanket is too worn out. The neighborhood is good for people with short stay. Over all, it's acceptable to me.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 24 of 269Good for the cost, You get what you pay for
I stayed here for a weekend for an event happening down the street at Bicentennial Park. Very convienient location right along Biscayne Blvd in Downtown Miami. For the price it was decent, however the first night there was no hot water, and I had to take a cold shower. Very painful. Secondly, the room I had was very tiny with only one bed, which was fine for single travellers. Also, the television service is limited to 20 channels with no options to order anything. You get what you pay for, but in this situation location was ideal.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 25 of 269Good Value, Very Old Hotel
We stayed here the night before we left for our cruise. The hotel is very convenient to the Port of Miami, and very cheap compared to a lot of others in the area. It is within walking distance of shopping, stores, and anything you might need. Inexpensive shuttle available to the port. Room was tiny, clean but very old. Paint peeling, linens very worn. Pillows very thin and lumpy. Bathroom was comically small, my husband hit his head on sink every time he tried to sit on toilet! Overall though, for a few hour stay until getting onto cruise ship was great value and I would probably do it again! Just be aware that you are not getting the Ritz here... however, place was clean, no bugs, and it does have an awesome view of the Bay! Good luck!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 26 of 269If you are not going to spend much time in the room...its a great price
We stayed here to go to the Ultra Music festival. We were looking for a cheap room in walking distance of bicentennial park. (remember the saying, you get what you pay for?) We made sure the only time we went back to the room was to sleep. The elevators broke down all the time. When we were checking in we actually had to walk up nine flights of stairs with our luggage! The staircase was narrow and creepy and looked out of a horror film. The elevators have a five person limit and are the size of phone booths. A fellow guest joked that this was the hotel where they filmed Scarface, it was so run down and dirty! Our room had a full size bed and was approximately 10 X 12, we were claustophobic? Only stay here if you plan to be here for less than a few hours?

Trip Type: With Friends Review 27 of 269A place to sleep
It was in a great location for where we were going in miami. It was old, a little stale air, and needed paint. But it was a place to sleep that served its purpose.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 28 of 269Good location, worst beds ever
The worst beds I have ever seen, worse than a youth hostile I imagine - however the bathroom was clean, very small but clean. We only needed somewhere to sleep and shower before getting on a cruise, location was great with a shuttle van to take us. The worst after the aweful beds, it took 45 minutes to catch room on an elevator going down at checkout time, only two very small very slow elevators that do not accomodate the number of people who stay there. If you don't need much than the price is right.

The lights did not work except for in the bathroom. It smelled. The bed springs were broke and poking us while we sleep. Carpet dirty, and writing all over the walls. Over all, the most horrible place I've ever seen or stayed at. Location was good though.
