Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 37Great room for the money
Overall, the hotel was good. The room needed minor touch-ups. The hotel doesn't have on-site parking, but parking was provided at a good rate. The hotel isn't far from Bourbon St, Superdome, and The shops on Canal St. The area around the hotel was very quiet. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 37good service, clean room
Had a great stay, the service was great, the rooms were clean. The shampoo was aweful, so bring your own. Breakfast is included, but they lock the doors promptly at 10, so don't be late! I would recommend this hotel, but it was a bit overpriced.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 37New Orleans Downtown Hotel
Our stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown was exactly what we needed. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. The room was clean. The only complaint I have about the room was that the bathroom was very small and the vanity was separate from the shower and had no door, which limited privacy. However, our friend's room had a very large private bathroom. The location of the hotel was perfect, being only a few blocks from the French Quarter. There was also a nice bar attached to the hotel. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 37A Bit Pricey; No Onsite Parking
While our room was comfortable, I found the overall price to be a bit much. I was expecting at least on site parking for the price paid for the room. Instead we had to pay to park several blocks away in a parking garage. And we couldn't even see out of our windows. The windows were "frosted." Overall, our room was comfortable, but I don't think that it was worth the price.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 37Everything great with just one problem...
The hotel was great. The only problem I had was that I signed up for a room with two double beds and a couch bed but after checking in we had no couch bed. The employee at the front desk said that because I booked through Hotels.com I would only be guaranteed the two double beds.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 37Could gave done just a little better
Considering mardi gras, the room was convenient to the French quaters and casino however the only complain was that the sofabed was broken and one of us had to sleep on the floor. No other rooms were available which I understand however if I paid extra for a 3rd person to stay in the room, I expect that third person have appropriate sleeping arrangements. Other than that, no too bad.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 37Good bang for your buck!
The location is close enough to the action without paying a ton. They advertised a gym, but had carpet stored in the gym, so it was closed. This wasn't good! Great breakfast, computer for patrons, and big screen tv in the lobby. The staff was kind and helpful. I'd stay again, esp if they had a gym.

We normally stay here whenever we visit New Orleans. The only difference this time was they didn't have valet parking.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 37Better than expected
I wasn't expecting much. I picked this place for an AMTRAK layover because it was inexpensive and I didn't expect to do much in the room but sleep. It was a very nice and very large room, however. It had a "living" area as well as a "sleeping area" and the largest bathroom I've ever encountered in a hotel. It also had 3 windows facing in 2 directions. And a very comfortable bed. The entire hotel smelled of fresh paint and seemed to have been recently redecorated (although not with the highest quality workmanship--some of the painting was a little sloppy). The lobby was very nice too. My chief caveat would be location--for those mainly wanting to spend time in the French Quarter, it's about 3 long blocks away: not too far but still many people prefer to stay in the Quarter. But, for the money, I'd call it a major bargain.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 37Great Hotel, Convenient Location
We were in town for the Sugar Bowl and we had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The rate was great and the staff was wonderful. They allowed us to check in early and were very helpful with parking suggestions as well. My only complaint is the mattresses were not great. Time for new beds!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 37Good hotel for the $.
Not a bad hotel for the price. Front desk staff was great. Room was spacious and clean. Best part was location. We were in town for a Saints game, so we were witihn walking distance to the superdome and the french quarter.
