Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 26Hotel need work!
When you first walk in the hotel it is very nice. The front desk, bar etc are in a fairly new street side addition to the original hotel. I was in my room for about 10 minutes and found 8 things wrong. Including the balcony door was to hard to close the the security top lock didn't reach where it was suppose to and couldn't get it to lock. Sleeping rooms and hallways need to be renovated. MAJOR problem is that there is only 1 very old elevator and extremely slow. You also have to go up 2 very steep ramps with luggage or a luggage cart to get to the elevator. Definatly not a friendly hotel to get around in. Linda from DC.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 26Great Stay
My first comment has to be on the friendliness of the entire staff. Every staff member we encountered was polite and friendly. The front desk staff were all a pleasure and were eager to help in anyway possible. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and are looking forward to going back.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 26Needs Updating
The Motel is dated. They need to spend a little money in updating it. Caulking around tub and toilet needs work. Wall paper needs replacing. Table in front of window in the way of closing curtains. Ceiling had stains from leaking upstairs in bedroom area.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 26Great Stat
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was right on the water, and located right near the main strip. My only grievance was the condition of the outside deck, it was rusty/dirty which sort of prevented me from spending more time at there. Also, the elevators were extremely slow, but it was tolerable. But other than that the staff was excellent, very accommodating and pleasant.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 26better than expected
the renovated lobby and rooms impressed me. amenities in the rooms were better than expected, and the hotel's beach location is unbeatable. there are several great restaurants in walking distance as well. the hotel's contintental breakfast is nice, including a waffle bar. the downsides were incrediby slow elevators and we did spot one large roach in our room. that aside, I would stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 26Needs improvement
The lobby of the Clarion is beautiful and newly renovated but the rooms and surrounding area leave something to be desired. There was a lot of construction going on during our stay, our room smelled like fresh paint, and there was constant hammering and loud noises all day long from where they were working. The fitness center had only one working elliptical and a weight machine, the treadmill and stationary bike were both broken. There was no hot water when you needed to take a shower, unless you let it run for twenty minutes then it would finally heat up. It wasn't the worst place I have ever stayed, but it certainly wasn't the greatest either. There are several other hotels next to this one, check them all out before you pay the price. Perhaps when Clarion is finished with their construction it might be better.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 26Great Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a VERY steep ramp to get to the elevator, but there was plenty of help to get luggage up and down. The hotel was very comfortable and quiet, and the view from my second floor room was beautiful.

fairly central location to local attractions, hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We would stay here again should we ever be in the area.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 26Nicer than some!
I just needed a place to lay my head and take a hot shower. This hotel met those needs. I only stayed in my room when it was time to sleep, so I didn't pay much attention to hotel amenities. Staff were friendly and helped when I needed directions or opinions about the best places to eat!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 26GREAT ROOM, GREAT VIEW!
Superb room in regards to overall appearance, cleanliness and condition of furniture and decor. Ver close to ocean front and beach access was convenient. You must get aleast a second story room to get ocean view and be above dunes. There elevators are old and slow and the ice machines are hit and miss. There is a ramp that is very very steep that leads from the hotel lobby to the elevators...bell hop service is absolutely necessary and if no one is available it can work you like a mule.
