Met our needs

We stayed just overnight for a running event. We did not use any of the facilities or have time for the breakfast so unable to make a report on that. The room was clean enough, the bed a bit soft. It was difficult to sleep as there was alot of activity ALL NIGHT LONG. It was a Saturday and I think maybe some of the locals were renting rooms as a gathering place or something. I would reccomend requesting a second story room as we were on the ground level and heard alot of activity of people coming and going until 4 a.m. If we do the event next year would consider staying again as the price was right for need just a place to sleep.

Good Hotel

Rooms were clean.

OK Room, Great Restaurant

Lounge music was noisy, but it stopped by 11pm. The wireless internet service was down. The beds were cozy. This is an OK room for the price. However, the in-house restaurant was great, with delicious food and great service.

Not all is as seems from the advertisement

Room was reserved as a King but we were given a room with two beds. A complete full hot breakfast was supposed to be provided but a couple of muffins is not a full hot breakfast. There were other hotels available and they did provide a full breakfast for less money.

Clean, comfortable, but noisy

Our room was clean and comfortable, but we heard a lot of outside noise and not just from showers and people talking, but even the noise from people walking past our room.

Clarion Hotel, San Jose airport

The hotel was well maintained and easy to find. Close to the San Jose airport. Window style air conditioner was a bit noisy. The rooms are entered from an outside walkway rather than an interior hallway. More like a "motel" style facility. Parking lot does have gated security at night. Restaurant on-site was very convenient. Good overall value for short stay.

Long or Short term parking!

It is $15.00 per day to park long or short term at San Jose Airport, leave your car at the hotel for only $9.00 per night (no charge for night(s) you stay with them) and take their shuttle to the airport-it is GREAT!!

great location and great staff

Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Due to the long weekend, we had the pool to ourselves. Jacuzzi originally wasn't working but when we called the front lobby, the maintenance rep was there within 10 mins. We, then, had a chance to enjoy our 2 night stay. They also offered continental breakfast even w/ the way the economy is and it was worth it. There are surrounding restaurants you can take advantage of if you want to explore other restaurants aside from the restaurant located onsite. We'll definitely be going back.

Great Hotel

We wanted to avoid the parking cost of most SF hotels so we stayed at this hotel which provided free parking and best of all our car was park right in front of our door. San Jose was only 45 minutes to SF. Check in was very quick and pleasant thanks to Fritzy at the front desk. The room was clean, bed was comfortable the sheets were as white as snow. The hawaiian theme restaurant and bar was really nice. Did some swimming and practiced my golf putting in the resort style garden. All free. Will definetly stay here again.

No ice machine

The ice machine was broke and it was really hot that night we stayed there. The cable was not working that well. This place needs improvement!!

Just need a room for the night?

I have stayed in much better and much worse so, the Clarion in San Jose is good if you're just looking for a place to stay. No frills. There was a decent restaurant and bar in the lobby area but, not much else around the area for dining or entertainment. No complaints with the room, bed, or shower. All good for the price. The only complaint was very thin walls. You can hear a tv set, or coughing, or other noises for that matter. But, overall not bad for a low price.

Comfortable bed.

The beds are comfortable and I especially liked the down pillows. I have enjoyed the heated pool many times and the jacuzzi is always clean and tidy. Free internet access is very convenient and the gym facility allows me to work out without leaving the motel. I've stayed at this location many times, during my last stay I was a bit disappointed that the complimentary full breakfast was no longer available. I am not a big fan of plain yogurt and high sugar, high carb, high calorie muffins. Even your fresh fruit was found to be lacking. Occassionally I have eaten dinner in the on site restaurant and have found the fare a bit pricy.
