Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 96Great Value
I'm sure there are much fancier hotels around, but you won't be able to find one with a decent rate and FREE parking! (That's at least a $50 per day savings!)You're in Chicago - there's too much to do...you're not planning to be in your room all day right? Room is big, plenty of walking space - I had 2 queens, desk, chair, and a sectioned area w/two chaise and table. Bathroom was decent size. My room was clean, plenty of towels and pillows. There was a LCD TV, working hair dryer, iron & board. It's conveniently located on State St. - 15 min drive to downtown, a little over a block away from Chinatown, near I90/94 entry. It's in a quiet neighborhood. Out of the 3 nights I was there, an ambulance was probably the only loud traffic noise I heard. I'd stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 96Get it while you can
I travel for a living and this is an excellent hotel for the money and as the neighborhood continues it's renovations the cost of the hotel will probably go up. Nice bar (needs more food items peanuts and popcorn don't get it) Good coffeee shop, nice selection, good staff. There was some trash on the floor of my room in a couple of places and the remote was found under the edge of the bed. No tv channel listing and no coffee maker but I am told that is going to change. The hotel staff was excellent and better than some I have found at much larger (and expensive) hotels. Seldom had a very long wait for taxis, bus stops on the corner. I stayed there 3 nights and was very pleased.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 96Good choice for McCormick Place conferences
I stayed here when the regular conference hotel was booked. It's only a 10 minute walk to the McCormick West building. With free parking, it was a great value. Everything in the hotel was new. I will stay here again for my next conference.

The mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. Not fit for a dog.

Great service. Walk distance to McComrick Place and subway station of red line at Chinatown.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 96Great for Conferences
The hotel was nicely appointed and clean, the staff was helpful, and the bar was convenient. Though the location isn't amazing it is in convenient walking distance of McCormick place at 40% of the cost of the convention center hotels. The parking was free, and it was an easy bus ride into Chicago. I would stay again.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 96bad location
The staff was excellent and the room adequate for the price. Sadly, the location is just short of frightening. We were told it was .5 miles from the McCormick center and that we could walk. Actually, there is a freeway between them and it took 30 minutes to walk and even for a city street smart girl it made my heart race. NOT SAFE at all.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 96Great Bargin
I had to come to Chicago for a big conference and I was looking at a cheap but confortable hotel. Hotel.com helped me and the Chicago Loop was very very nice. The only thing that I didn't like was the front staff attitude (seems angry and not very professional when I check-in) and also they knock at the door at 9am to see if you are still in... when the check-out is at 11am. Nevertheless, it was a great experience, great price, great place, near my conference and parking was free! Thanks
