    Beautiful Chateau in the countryside. Large, tastefully decorated rooms. Car needed to get around. Great for golfers. Nice heated pool. Bikes available in nearby town but no paths (if traveling with kids). Ballooning available in area but very expensive. Casual dining at Chateau very good. Great meals available in nearby towns. Chateau should add spa and other recreation for non-golfers (tennis, billards, etc.). Should have stayed longer as very relaxing place. Would definitely return.

    This hotel was amazing, we felt like we were in a fairytale! From the moment you turn onto the long path leading up to the chateau you step back in time. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful (the fact that they spoke english was a plus). The restuarant was truly a unique experience and one we will never forget. The room was very clean with all the modern conviences and the location suberb, close to many of the chateau's of the Loire Valley and only a couple of hours from Paris by car or train. We also could not believe how affordable it was! Needless to say, if we return to France we will be staying at the Chateau Des Sept Tours!

Location. The Chateau des Sept Tours is located in Courcelles de Touraine, part of the Loire Valley, France. Cinq-Mars-la-Pile, home to the nearest train station, is 12 kilometres away and Tours is 35 kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Set on the edge of a lake and surrounded by lush countryside, the Chateau des Sept Tours is housed in a traditional French chateau dating from the 15th century, distinguished by its three towers. The grounds of the hotel extend to an 18-hole golf course and driving range. A golf instructor is available to offer training and advice. The hotel also offers a pro shop selling equipment and accessories. The concierge is on hand to organise excursions to nearby chateaux and book hot-air balloon rides over the Loire Valley. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.

New French cuisine is served in the castle room and conservatory of the Notaboo restaurant, while light meals are served in the Brasserie, housed in the chateau's former chapel. Drinks are served in the salon, which features a grand piano, rich drapery and period furnishings.

Conference facilities are available onsite.

The Chateau des Sept Tours offers a seasonal outdoor pool, complete with a sun terrace and jetted tub. Bicycles and horses can be hired on site.

Guestrooms. The 46 guestrooms over four floors feature traditional French country decor with antique-style furnishings, damask bedding, and fabrics in shades of peach and cappuccino. Amenities include televisions, dial-up Internet ports, minibars, safes and bathrooms with makeup mirrors.

Expert Tip. The Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau, located 40 kilometres from the hotel is one of the most famous of the Loire Valley chateaux. Built in the 16th century and now surrounded by a 19th-century landscaped garden, the residence is built on an island in the Indre River, its foundations rising straight out of the water.
