Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 50Great Hotel
This hotel was close to the trolley system which made it very convenient for the first visit to Salt Lake. Kitchen was fully equipped with working stove, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Bed comfortable and plenty of linens. Swimming pool, hot tub, outside basketball court, barbeque and picnic table on grassed area make it a good place for people traveling with children. Staff helpful and friendly.

Location was great. Hotel seemed to be old, more like apartments. More suited for weekly stays, I think. Noisy neighbors upstairs, breakfast weak.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 50A little overpriced for the age
While the room was clean, everything was pretty dated. The outside was quite old feeling with peeling paint on stairs & thresholds etc. The studio suite was very roomy. The breakfast & dining room were excellent. Location was very central.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 50Good value
This hotel provided good value for the money spent and I was quite satisfied. The breakfast and social hour selections were mostly better than those I've experienced elsewhere. The hotel did seem to experience some administration issues (we got a second room for one of the nights and they issued us a room which was in the process of being renovated and was not usable - it should have shown on their room sheets as unavailable, not available for rent).

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 50Nice place
Nice place, great location, staff was helpful, gave me a late check out at no charge. Train/trolley into downtown right outside. Close to trolley square mall and many restaurants.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 50Spacious! Loved it.
The room was well worth it. It was spacious and clean. Even though we only stayed for one night it was more than we needed at a good price. I'd stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 50We will stay there again in the future.
It was a very convenient location for us. It was quiet, the breakfast buffet was good and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. This will be our new spot to stay when we visit in Salt Lake City.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 50Nice Room, not nice enough to forget the poor service
hotel employees had no concept of how important good customer service is, but the room was nice, and the price not far off for the value

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 50Nice Room, not nice enough to forget the poor service
The room was great for the price; clean, spacious, full kitchen was great, grounds were nice, and the location was easy to find. The service (excluding the graveyard/overnight front desk/lobby clerk) each had a unique way of making you feel uncomfortable. Upon checking in I mentioned that I would be taking my children to the pool and inquired as to what time it would close and was informed that due to the rain (a very slight (off and on) drizzle) it was closed but the hot tub was open until ten. I mentioned that I didn't mind a little light rain and that for the last 45 minutes it had not rained. She said she would have maintenance uncover the pool. I waited 30 minutes or so to give them time, not an easy thing to do with two children dying to swim A.S.A.P., and found the pool still covered. Both clerks were able to make me feel unwelcome, bothersome, and unworthy of their time. After waiting outside for twenty minutes for the cover to come off one of them came outside to let me know maintenance was gone for the night, we would not be able to swim. On top of dealing with a majorly dissapointed 4 year old, I found that the internet connection in the room was inopperative. Lucky me, deadlines for work and no internet. Sad thing is, I chose this hotel for the pool and the internet. The breakfast hostess was even more rude and condiscending than the two of them combined. However, the breakfast was good.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 50good hotel with issues
When we ariived they gave my family the room requested. the air conditioning was off when arrived so we turned it on and left. When we arrived the room was warmer than it was when we left it. Hotel staff checked the air conditionaer and repaired it four times in six hours before giving us a new room. Right after we settled into the new room the hotel manager dropped by to let us know that we could go back to the old room since he just finished fixing the air conditioner again. This was at nine pm and since we had two kids under three, we declined. This new room was what we expected. neither the manager nor the staff ever apologized for the problems of the first day. When we checked out at the end of the week, they still had us listed as being in the old room and I had to explain to the clerk the situation. I am glad it was slow that week or else they might of assigned another family to the room we actually stayed in. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 50"great room for the money"
We felt the room was great for the money we paid for (nice/clean even though the furniture was a little outdated).
