Trip Type: Not Provided Review 16 of 296Needs improvement
It seemed that a lot of things were broken. Our phone would not work most of the time and the shower did not work well. The shower also kept flooding the bathroom since it was not working properly and the curtains were too short. Our friends in the room next door had to change rooms in the middle of the night since their couch bed would not pull out. The nicest thing about the hotel was the lobby.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 17 of 296Nice interior space
Although the exterior design of the building is not new, the lobby space, cafe, restaurant, and room were quite clean and well designed. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in bathroom were all organic and came from spa in the hotel. The location was also good. You can walk to destination areas in downtown.

Trip Type: Family Review 18 of 296Fantastic service
From the moment we arrived prior to check-in time, until the bellmen were loading our luggage into a special taxi for the wheelchair to take us to the train station, the service in this hotel was outstanding. The rooms are a little run down, mostly due to age, but everything else was absolutely fantastic. The location of the hotel was very convenient. We walked or took the double-decker bus every place we wanted to go.

Trip Type: Family Review 19 of 296Great space horrendous bed
The pros: The living area, set up like a small urban apartment, is wonderful. You get a small kitchen complete with stove, full-size fridge and sink overlooking an actual living room with a big-screen TV. The view was another asset. Cons: I've had a better night's sleep while camping. The cheap mattress was rock-hard, and the pillows were thinner than folded bath towels and probably less comfortable. A hotel in this price range should do much better; pillows and mattresses aren't that expensive and make a big difference. The hotel was also dustier than I would expect.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 20 of 296Good enough for what you pay for
The floor view was beautiful nice view of downtown off the balcony. The things that i was not happy about was the room was very small with 2 full size beds cramped in them and also the heater didnt even work! And it was very annyoning that i had to keep calling for extra towels and washcloths. One of the housekeepers when asked to bring 2 sets of towels up he didnt even bring face towels and told me he is busy! What sucks is the building is directly next door to a hospital! Ha good luck sleeping with all the albumlance trucks!

The hotel was well situated within walking distance to many sites. Our room was quite large although furnishings needed sprucing.

Trip Type: Romance Review 26 of 296Century Plaza...a serviceable hotel
Great location, adaquate accomodations, the front desk and concierge leave something to be desired. They don't know their city and its features. Misleading information about various venues...decided to trust our own instincts and ask locals about attractions and entertainment.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 27 of 296Great Place to Stay and Eat
My sister and I stayed at the Century while we visited my daughter. The location was great with convenient transportation options. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite part of the hotel was the restaurant. The food was great, the waiter was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, the atmosphere was comfortable. We tried several items, but our favorites were the surf and turf (steak with a fabulous sauce and crab cake that melts in your mouth), and the creme brulee.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 29 of 296Deceivingly Great Lobby
When you first arrive at the hotel, it is impressive--nice lobby, convenient restaurant, newly opened deli/cafe. After you left the lobby, the true nature of the hotel came through. The hotel is very dated. The rooms are okay, but old and tired looking. The water pressure on the shower was so strong that the floor got soaked every time, no matter how we tried to block the spray with the curtain. The hotel staff did not appear to really know the particulars about the transportation or the time it takes to get from one place to another. We were always told "it's a 15 or 20 minute walk" and, while we may be a little slower than some, we weren't 2 hours slower! We were sold a 2-day Big Bus Pass and told that we could use it all during the next two days and that we could get on, get off where we liked. That was a joke! The bus quit running in early evening and you could only get on or get off at pre-determined stops. The staff should have known the details if they were going to sell the tickets.
