    The design of this hotel is stunning and our room location was ultra convenient. The only problem was that it was a bit loud at night with the bars right nearby -- but anyplace that is convenient would have this issue so there's nothing the hotel could do to deal with this issue (I spelt through it and didn't hear a thing, but it did keep my husband up). We spoke with other folks visiting Iceland who were in other hotels and ours always came up as the best of the pack. I def recommend this hotel.

    I stayed there in October 2009. It was a great hotel and in a great location. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and very comfortable. It included a flat screen TV, although I never turned it on as I did not spend much time in the room. Like most European hotels the room was on the smaller side, but not an issue. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Location. Center Hotel Thingholt is a contemporary property in downtown Reykjavik. The building was originally a printing factory, and is situated within 20 metres of the city's main shopping district and 50 metres away from the National Theatre. Reykjavik Keflavik Airport (KEF) is 47 kilometres from the hotel and takes approximately 45 minutes to reach by car.

Hotel Features. Guests can enjoy live music each week at the hotel's basement jazz club, have a quiet drink in the lobby bar, or unwind with a cappuccino at the onsite coffee shop. The front desk is open 24 hours, and multilingual staff can organise car rental, make restaurant reservations, and offer tour assistance.
