This B & B has great potential, but needs some work. The staff was was very friendly and helpful. The room we were shown to was large, but amenities were sparse. The towels were frayed, the bathroom light fixture was not working and no glasses were provided. We were catching a flight very early the next morning, so we were not able to experience breakfast. Given the very low room rate we were paying, this room was acceptable for our needs. However, I would not want to spend an extended stay in the room we were in.

A short stay...so hard to say

We stayed at the Casa Bella for about 3 1/2 hours between a late arriving flight and an early departure, so we were not able to avail ourselves of all the hotel had to offer. What we did experience was OK- nothing wrong, but not spectacular. The airport pickup was about 15 minutes late, leaving us looking for a cab when he arrived. Even at the late hour, we were treated very well at the hotel as we checked in. It was supposed to be the "Matrimonial" room, but it seemed a small, albeit clean, room. Noisy neighbors repeatedly slamming doors in the wee hours are not the fault of the hotel, but did detract from the experience. We did not get to try the breakfast, and I have a feeling we would have been more impressed has we been around for the daily hospitality.

great value

tremendous staff in a modest physical setup. Extremely helpful. This is a good location in an excellent neighborhood, though Lima is quite spread out: one needs to take Taxi's to most destinations or walk very long distances, no matter where your hotel is. Rooms are clean and comfy, not luxurious. Excellent Value.

Very Good Hotel

The basics are there: it's quiet, clean and comfortable. And has an internet connection. The owner speaks fluent English (he is a Peruvian who went to school and spent years in the U.S.), so that is very helpful. A real plus is the airport pick-up service. It's considerably pricier than the going rate for a taxi, but when you land at 1:00 am in a foreign country where you don't speak the language, it's VERY nice to find someone waiting for you at the airport with your name on a placard. Taxis can't always be trusted. Although Casa Bella bills itself as a "B&B," breakfast isn't much, so don't expect alot. Staff are both knowledgable and friendly.
