    Beautiful restful resort set in the woods which we used as a base when touring northern Israel. Great food, nice hiking, beautiful pool, jacuzzi etc. We did not use the spa treatments because we toured during the day but others seemed to love them. Guests are mainly Israeli along with some tourists.

    There are 3 things that makes this hotel SO good: * Minimum age of 16 * No cell phones allowed in public areas * The location is deep in the forest So, you can't hear children screaming, people talking (loudly) on their phones, or other daily noises. All you can hear is the birds, the wind, and the water in the pool. Add 3 great meals and you have a perfect stay...

Location. The Isrotel Carmel Forest Spa is nestled in a forest by the Mediterranean, approximately 15 kilometres from Bat Galim Promenade, which is accessible by funicular railway and offers panoramic views of Carmel and the sea. Ben Gurion Tel Aviv Airport is 115 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of approximately 135 minutes.

Hotel Features. The Carmel Forest Resort Hotel's spa complex houses two swimming pools, complete with a poolside bar, and an authentic Turkish hammam offering hot and cold water treatments. The spa centre also includes a fitness room and runs a range of classes, including tai chi, chi kung and yoga, and special diet and nutrition programmes are available Spa treatements at a surcharge

The resort shop and hair salon are located on the second floor, while the spa lobby offers a tea corner. The hotel also houses a library and reading room. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide room service (limited hours), exchange currency and offer tour assistance.

The hotel's restaurant serves gourmet health food throughout the day in a relaxed environment, while the informal lobby lounge, set overlooking the forest, features a wood-burning fireplace, deep sofas and coffee tables and hosts live piano music in the evenings.

The hotel offers tennis courts, and a games room is open 24 hours a day. Walking tours of the forest are organised by the hotel.

Guestrooms. The Carmel Forest Spa Hotel's 126 guestrooms, over seven floors, feature white and cream walls complemented by dark-wood furniture, and fabrics inspired by woodland colours. All open onto balconies and come equipped with satellite television, telephones, coffee/tea-makers, minibars and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, scales, telephones, bathrobes and slippers.

Expert Tip. The Carmel National Park is Israel's largest national park, and comprises approximately 21,000 acres of wild cliffs, sweeping valleys and lush forests.
