    Perfect location, the hotel just south of the Hilton, on the beach in Tel Aviv. Right at the Marina, and a 10 minute walk to the Namal, or port area, with wonderful restaurants. The beach is right outside the hotel doors and in summer 2009, they are doing renovations and will have a large pool and private beach. When that happens, you can expect the price to go up, but for now, it's a good deal for the hotel with reasonable prices, though we did not eat at the hotel. The staff was freindly and helpful, and I would defintely stay here again.

Location. The Carlton Tel Aviv is a modern, 14- storey hotel situated right on the seafront in Tel Aviv, facing the yachting marina and five kilometres from the city center. Carmel Market, the largest in the city, is five kilometres from the hotel, and the Tel Aviv Museum is seven kilometres away. Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport is 26 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.

Hotel Features. Leisure facilities at the hotel include a modern health club with a fitness room and a sauna. Beauty treatments and massage therapies are available for those in need of pampering. The rooftop pool on the 15th floor is surrounded by a sun terrace and offers panoramic views over the seafront. Internet access is available in public areas (surcharge), and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. Practical amenities include currency exchange, dry-cleaning services, safe-deposit boxes and laundry facilities.

The hotel's Red and Green Pepper restaurant serves local and international dishes, Champagne and caviar, and offers a buffet breakfast of home-baked breads, pastries and fruit (surcharge). The Lounge and Espresso Bar serves hot and cold snacks against a backdrop of sea views, and hosts live piano music in the evenings.

Guestrooms. The Carlton Tel Aviv offers 280 guestrooms located on 14 floors, all of which feature contemporary decor in natural hues with modern dark-wood furnishings and open onto balconies. Amenities include cable television, multi-line phones, minibars and bathrooms with telephones and complimentary toiletries.

Expert Tip. The Azrieli Observatory, ten kilometres from the hotel, occupies the 49th floor of Tel Aviv's tallest building. Telescopes are positioned at the 84 windows, and audio guides provide commentary on major landmarks. Carmel Market, known as Shuk Ha'Carmel is the biggest marketplace in town and sells everything from spices and freshly baked bread to clothing and footwear.
