Great room

The hotel was very nice. Just opened in May. The rooms have cable and free hi speed internet. The beds are actually pretty comfortable. Better than what I had expected. The location is convenient being across the street from the mall and restaurants. I feel the hotel rates are a little high for what you get but it's less than the other hotels in the immediate area. They do not have a continental breakfast but they do have a snack room to purchase food and drinks. Compared to other hotels in the area, I would stay at Candlewood again.

Fix the signage

Candelwood Suites tend to be consistently good. The staff at the Texarkana location were great, very cordial, helpful and friendly. The only problem with the location is that it's hard to find. The signage is not visible from the road. The location itself is not recognized by any standard GPS (since the location is new.) The difficulty in finding the location is my only criticism, because the last thing you want to do after a long drive is get lost finding the hotel. However, when you get there, the staff and accomodations are great.
