Hotel Features. Awarded by both Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler in 2006, the Campton Place hotel is nationally renowned for its sophisticated atmosphere, amenities and dining venues. Contemporary French cuisine with Mediterranean and Californian influences awaits guests in the four-star Campton Place Restaurant, complete with a 1,000-bottle wine list and a course menu of farmhouse and artisan cheeses. The Campton Place Bar is outfitted in rich woods and leather, serving Bistro-style food, specialty cocktails and fine wines. The 24-hour fitness center is located on the hotel's 9th floor terrace, overlooking Union Square and the San Francisco skyline.
Guestrooms. Designed by Sylvia Chiang, the Campton Place's 110 guestrooms feature honey-maple finish furniture, silver-stenciled maplewood armoires, leather-accented desks and handblown-glass bedside lamps. Bedding includes Frette Italian cotton linens, down duvets and throws. Limestone bathrooms offer Molton Brown toiletries, slippers and soaking tubs. Expert Tip. Each guestroom in the Campton Place hotel is embellished with Larry Cohen's original artwork pieces of the Bay Bridge and vintage portraits of the San Francisco Palace of the Fine Arts represented in That Was A Dream Worth Building by Louis J. Stellmann.
