good place to stay

The hotel was nice and clean as stated earlier. Easy to get to the airport by bus except for weekends. Buses do not run as often. Right at the train station. Nice staff and helpful. Did take taxi to airport and was expensive over 27 pounds for two people not 15 which was what the front desk thought.

Very Clean, Insufficient Illumination in Hallways, Poorly Run Reservation System

Overall, the staff was polite, "however", upon arrival we were sent to a room already occupied. When this was brought to the clerks attention, we were then required to prove it was by escorting the clerk to the room before an alternate was provided. Dinner in the restaurant was cafeteria quality, 3 star priced, poorly explained and served. This was only tolerated due to our state of exhaustion from the long day. The room was small, but clean. No air conditioning. The large hinged window only opened inward, protruding into the living space by 3 ft which created a hazard while moving about the small room. In summary, the hotel was not a memorable experience, but it got the job done.

We particularly liked being next to the railroad station. We did not have to deal with driving in Brussels. And the staff was very helpful with directions for connecting to the Metro once we got to the Central train station. A very pleasant experience.

Best rate near airport and public transportation

Although the room was very small it was VERY clean, the staff was extremely helpful, the dinner was delicious (good thing, it is about the only place to eat around). Take the bus from the airport to the Vilvoorde Train Station (not just Vilvoorde), is a short walk to other side of tracks, then train back to airport to catch train for Brussels, Brugges, etc. Update the price, it is more than is shown.
