Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 2Pleasantly surpised
Having stayed at Hotel Campaniles before they can be a bit hit-and-miss. A low budget, 2 storey motel style hotel with quite small rooms near to the Grenoble "Polygone Scientifique". (Though not really walkable.) The outside is showing it's age but the rooms seem to have been updated within the last few years and although very small they are clean with fake wood floors. The beds are comfortable and the linen clean. The bathrooms are also small but again in good repair. Air conditioning seems to function well too. The small grill restaurant is a surprisingly good one. With a cold buffet available for starters and dessert as well as a chef who take pride in the presentation of his simple menu. There is even an outside area for dining that is hedged off from the surrounding commercial zone. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. For this price you cannot really find better than this in France. With very friendly, helpful staff. (WiFi access is free.)
