We went to the buffett on a Friday excellent food, music, a popular spot with local ladies to celebrate birtdays.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 16Good hotel with great service
The hotel is nice and very comfortable. Most Mexican hotel beds are very hard, but this hotel was the opposite, soft, so if you have a bad back, you may not like the beds. Food was excellent and the portions were big! The only complaint was that if you're looking to get out and walk around the neighborhood, there's not a ton to see; however about 2-3 blocks away, there was a mall that would put some of the malls in the US to shame. 3 stories tall with almost everything you'll need for a shopping expereince. If I am to return to GDL, I would recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 16Outstanding Customer Service, good location, good value
I have stayed at this hotel more than once. I liked it the first time because the hotel is located in a convenient location, the restaurant at the hotel is very good, people were friendly, and it was a good value for my money. But the last time, I was blown away by the quality of the customer service. I accidentally forgot a very important document after checkout. I was already at the airport when I noticed I was missing my document. I called the hotel from the airport and they were very helpful. They found and overnighted my document and it saved me a huge headache. They went the extra mile and I would definitely recommend them.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 16Great All Around
The Quinta Real is an excellent hotel in a great location. If you are visiting the Minerva or Zapopan areas of Guadalajara, it would be hard to find a better hotel. My room was comfortable with a great view. The Staff is excellent!!!

Food not very well prepared and not a great variety - Menu not very diverse from other hotels seems to be the same menu as other hotles I have stayed at cleaning crew tooo over anxious to get their job done and will come in or knock early in the morning with out regard to late sleepers or people working out of their room - with sign of do not disturbed on the door

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 16Outstanding Hotel
the gardens are very relaxing. The rooms are well appointed. The morning buffet is very nice to look forward to and is moderately priced. The beds are very comfortable and the service is excellent. Overall very good hotel and I would stay there again

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 16lovely place and great service - poor administration
My wedding guests stayed at the hotel, because of its proximity to everything, and it's magnificent garden and tranquil setting. The staff are very friendly and they do everything within their personal ability to help the guests - and this is typical of Mexicans. The buffet is fantastic. Unfortunately the inflexibility of the system and administration of the hotel means it's very difficult to get anything "out of the normal". For example my 90 y.o. nanna asked for a room near reception, but was placed at the very back, despite advance notice. My aunt had trouble with stairs, though was placed on the second floor. My sister was double charged for the internet, and had to give a written statement why, before the charge was credited. Checkout takes ages. For an expensive hotel, the English of many of the front line staff is inadequate. Lovely place and staff, pity about the organisation.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 16Pay more, Expect Less
The only complaint I really have is that they pretty much nickle and dime you with everything at the hotel. No continental breakfast, phone service/messages were not up to par (red message light never worked & missed some time sensitive messages), and was charged for dialing locally even if the call wasn't succesfully connected. Overall, I can't complain due to some of the other choices out there with Guadalajara hotels, just expected more for the prices the hotel charges.
