Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 27Outstanding Location
One of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at on the Mexican coast. Secluded, romantic, quiet, away from the night life. Very friendly staff. The value far exceeded the price we paid. I will definitely stay there again if I go back to Acapulco.

The main problem we had was communication. There English was okay and my wife who is from Mexico speaks Spanish fluently. After we were moved from our 1st room because of ants or little bugs on the night stands and counter top (the new room was clean and bug free). When I asked for an upgrade for the inconvenience and whispered to the front desk clerk it was our 25th wedding anniversary he said there was nothing he could do. The hotel wasn't even 50% occupied. Then after we moved our own clothes and luggage I asked again for a little something special and he was very cold and all of a sudden didn't understand English.

We were very pleased with the hotel and it's staff. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the location was beautiful and all of the different levels of the grounds made you feel that you always had some privacy.

Hotel needs a modern renovation,staff was nice and service was fine,food was ok but price was high. Needs access for handicap people or with disabilities to go down to the beach area. Love the location it was nice and quiet so you can rest.

Beautiful trees ans water falls! we all enjoyed the swimming pools, but specially the private beach. Winter break is the best time to visit Acapulco, it is too hot during the summer. Service an room acommodations were just great. The only thing we did not like were the towels, both pool and room towels need a lot of softener. Other than the towels issue, there was no other problems, we would definetelly go back!!

The hotel itself is nice. However getting up and down the stairs can be difficult for the elderlies. The location is somewhat secluded, perhaps it is a quiet hideout for the tired tourist, but definetly not for the eager shoppers. The desk clerk informed me the use of the internet was free for 30 minutes, but at the end, they insisted ortherwise, and charged me for the usage.

If you like to participate in scavenger hunts racing through mazes with maps chasing clues this is probably the hotel for you, it is built on a hill so up is down and down is left, you go to the top floor to get to the lobby and the depending on whether you walk left or right on your floor it could be 2nd or perhaps 3rd on the elevator. They apparently didn’t get the memo saying that Americans like pool bars; the kind where you don’t have to get off the pool to get a beer. Hotel is clean, rooms are huge and beautiful, food is mediocre at best with 4 dollar diet cokes but the best part is the beach, this is by far the best beach in town. Everywhere else, you are dealing with hundreds of walk around vendors, this hotel’s beach is closed to the public and it is very beautiful and peaceful. In a nutshell they have the best beach, urge a chef, cumbersome to navigate, nice rooms and it is a pain to get to.

The hotel appearance and location was beautiful. It had a very romantic appeal to it. The room and view were outstanding. The only problem was the employees. They were not willing to service with a smile and seemed irritated to accommodate. Despite that I would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel is nice. There is no doubt that this a place where you want to go hide away. I just thought the hotel rooms were going to be more pleasant. Its seculuded so if this is what you are looking for, then well you got it. The room is what you pay for, don't be fooled by the partial or ocean view there all the same. the food is great, so is the service. I just thought that I paid way too much for the room while I was there. They are constantly overbooked and I waited two hours for my room even after the 3:00 PM check in time. They compted me for breakfast which was terrible. Like they knew the crap was free. I liked it only because it was outside of everything acapulco is meant to be and my son loved the pools they had.

Despite the lack of smiles of many of the employees, the service was overall good. I have the impression the workers are not happy doing their job or maybe not well paid cause they don't smile. The location is great. Far from the busy city. It has tons of water activities, two restaurants and three big swimming pools. I was very happy except the employees were as I said, a little cold.

For those who like a quiet, beautiful atmosphere in which to relax in the sun, sea or pool, this hotel is wonderful. Taxis can be obtained at the hotel for those who want the night scene or like to shop in the city of Acapulco.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 27Not Fully Satisfied!
Location of the hotel is not within walking distance to the strip where all the activities are, it's about a 15-20 minute drive down to strip. The road down to the hotel is in very poor condition, if planning to go out a lot this could be the greatest inconvinience. Some front desk staff are courteous while others are very rude. The hotel has it's own private beach area, the only thing about that there's no elevators down there it's about a 3 story walk down of nothing but stairs. Of all the Camino Real's I have stayed this is by far the worst.
