Cabot Lodge North Monroe

All in all good stay.

Only con is if you are staying more than a few nights like I was they didn't have a mini-fridge for your own food so you didn't have to constantly eat out. They did have a microwave in the main building but not in each the room. While I never had any trouble with my room I did over hear two separate times people going up to the front desk and asking for different rooms or to be checked out because their room smelled moldy or smoky. Pro's Breakfast every morning was very filling (standard food)they were close to a lot of entertainment like two movie theaters and a mall, lots of eating places within walking distance,also just follow the street the lodge is on and it takes you directly into down town Tallahassee.

Great room for the money

Very pleasant stay. The hotel has free internet, light breakfast and warm, friendly employees. The room was comfortable and clean. We would stay here again.

the check-in clerk was not wearing a name tag and did not give the full details of hotels benefits but he was friendly and helpful; his name was william ~ I asked. Upon arrival in the room two light bulbs were not working; nor was the television remote so I called william and he promptly sent alex, the building engineer, who very quickly fixed all items in the room. Alex also ensured that there was nothing additional and took the opportunity to inform me of the cocktail welcome reception and the complimentary breakfast. though the hotel is older, I found the accommodations pleasant enough for my 3 night stay and the staff friendly, professional and helpful not to mention the added plus of the lovely breakfast offerings each morning. (I was there for R & R and was hoping to swim but the pool was placed on out of order on the second morning of my stay)

Great room for the money

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and courteous. We were pleased with the continental breakfast.

Wet Room

The room I stayed in was heavily deodorized to mask the mold/mildew smell. Everything felt wet as if the AC wasn't dehumidifying the room at all. Shower curtain was mildew stained at the bottom and the towels were wet (perhaps not replaced from the previous guest??). Yuk!

Great Service

My family has stayed at this hotel two times. It is just a normal hotel room, but the beds are comfortable. What keeps us returning is the service. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

It's a dump but will work in a pinch

I would only recommend staying there if you are in Tallahassee for a ball game and can't find a room any where else. If you are sensitive to mold or mildew, beware! It reeked of mildew!
