    This guesthouse is conveniently located about 3 blocks from the subway. The only real downside is it is a long ride into Manhatten. It is in a quiet neighborhood and was a great way to see how people in the city really live. Great deal for the money.

The Bronx Guesthouse is located in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx, the northernmost borough of New York City, N.Y. The guesthouse is positioned approximately two miles from the New York Botanical Gardens and the Bronx Zoo, said to be the largest urban zoo in the United States. Manhattan, featuring attractions such as Radio City Music Hall, Central Park and Fifth Avenue shopping, is eight miles from the inn.

This Colonial inn offers complimentary, self-serve continental breakfasts daily in the kitchen/dining area. A microwave oven, coffeemaker and toaster are provided for guests' use. Complimentary wireless Internet access and a fax machine are available. Board games are provided, and semi-private cooking classes, administered by the innkeeper, are available off-site for a fee.

Guestrooms at the Bronx Guesthouse feature distinctive décor, and include bottled water and subway maps. All accommodations, with the exception of Henry's Den, offer satellite television. Many rooms retain the Old World ambience of the guesthouse with original moldings and gas fixtures.
