Located across the plaza from the central train station, this hotel is convenient, and offers fabulous views. Hang out the window from your desk (with free wi-fi), and watch people going to and from the glass-domed train station. As should be expected in European city centers and historic properties, the rooms are typically tiny. Be warned that the corridors and elevator are also EXTREMELY narrow. If you have a walker or wheelchair, this isn't for you. I found the rooms (walls) to be a bit worn in appearance, but furnishings were attractive and comfortable. The wireless internet was fast, and perhaps the most user friendly I've found in a hotel recently. Nearby restaurants are open even on holidays, and street food stalls and McDonalds are nearby for late-night desperation. For a comfortable, pleasant stay with fun views and superb location, this is a great hotel. Make sure to get the largest room available, facing the train station. Skip the overpriced breakfast, and eat across the street at the train station or at one of the many local bakeries.

The hotel is basic, but the rooms are big for Europe and very clean. The desk people during the day speak English and seemed very obliging, however we didn't ask for any special services. The hotel was safe, quiet, and we really enjoyed staying there. It's also fairly convienently located across from the train station and about ten minutes within walking distance of all the sights. There are very few taxi's in Strasbourg - except at a very few locations - and one of the locations is the train station. It's a great city! Great little hotel. Enjoy!
