Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 1667Could smell smoke
The location is excellent, and we had a marvelous view of some beautiful roof-top and patio gardens. We realized that we've become spoiled by our recent hotel stays in non-smoking hotels when we were bothered by the smell of cigarette smoke in this one. I think that someone was smoking in a neighboring room (we were on the 12th floor).

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 1667Very Nice Hotel
We felt the concierge level could have been a lot better. The breakfasts were very good - but that's it. We've experienced much better service at other hotels. The staff were friendly but they didn't overextend themselves to you.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 1667Grand old style but short on amenities.
Great location and old style ambience. Very clean & comfortable room and beds. Missing a lot of amenities that I expect from a hotel of this price and rating. No free newspapers or coffee. I think they have an exercise room in the basement but it is not mentioned on the website or in the service listing in the room.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 1667Concierge floor excellent
We decided to stay on the concierge floor (15th floor) because other reviewers had complained about the standard rooms. While the 15th floor rooms are still on the small side with small bathrooms, everything is high quality from the marble bathrooms, to the free breakfasts and newspapers in the morning and free snacks at the cocktail hour in the concierge lounge. The actual concierge is there from 7 am to 730 pm and was helpful for restaurants and other questions.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We asked for a cot and they brought one right in.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 1667Old world charm, good location
It's an older hotel, renovated. The rooms are nice, but small. The bathroom is also small. My room had a small glass shelf above the sink, which was convenient for putting things on (no other counter space available); but it hung over the sink so it was difficult to wash one's face without either dripping water all over the shelf and the floor, or twisting one's head at an uncomfortable angle to get under the shelf.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 1667Easy hotel for handicapped
Stayed here twice. Handicapped bathrooms are excellent and was put near elevators. A plus is that the rooms have two bathrooms

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 1667Great location but...very small rooms.
Location, location, location. Within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. Also very convenient to the subway. Our only complaint was the size of the rooms..very small for two people. On-site parking is pretty expensive @ $40 per night, however, that seems to be the going rate in Boston. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 1667Nice hotel, small room, comfy bed!
the hotel has an extremly nice lobby area and the hotel is very well kept. Rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. The beds are great however! only a couple of blocks for newberry st. All boston hotels seemed a little on the expensive side, but given other prices, I think its great value for money at the Park Plaza.
