Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 10Convenient
The hotel room was clean. The hallways and stairs could have used a vacuuming. It was at the footbridge as promised which was, in fact, a short walk to the downtown with plentiful stores, galleries, and restaurants. Since the parking is very limited downtown, this worked OK. I had no view, so if you want a harbor view, make sure you get one. There are no beaches in this area, only harbor.

The air conditioner did not work well. The view was nice but we had to pay an extra $40.00 per day to get the view. The hotel itself was old and while it was clean, for the money spent I would have expected something more modern.

They say all rooms have harbor view...Some of the rooms on the left side of the hotel ) have a "peek" of the harbor. The balcony overlooks the parking lot and the kitchen ( and the noise of the exhaust fans all nite ) of the building next door and if you turn to the right you see some of the harbor between the two buildings and this was from the second floor.Dont beleive ther is any view from the first floor

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 10old and musty
Our room smelled extremely damp and musty- and not in a nice 'seabreeze' way. While it's true all rooms have balconies or patios, our patio opened directly onto the service road into the restaurant, and a stockade fence.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 10Great choice
Second floor balcony with chairs afforded us wonderful views of the harbor. In mid September, this place was quiet, very clean, and comfortable. Would assume summer season would be noisier. Continental breakfast was varied and fresh. Would recommend!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 10Great view for the money
The views from the hotel are quite nice. Breakfast is very good and the dining room is great. Nice meals to choose from. No elevator to second floor and do not have many folks around to help carry luggage up stairs.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 10Fishy
Well the hotel was very hard to find and was away from the main entertainment of Boothbay. The smell of Boothbay and of the hotel was very fishy (it is on a harbor but smeel was strong). There was one resturant near by (upscale) and they treated my fiance and me very rudely and the food was way overpriced (25+ for two kabobs with shrimp and squid) and I could make better food in my own home. The hotel is outdated and has exposed pipes everywhere. One thing that bothered me was that you were not allowed to amoke in the room (not a big deal at all) but they said if you smoked on your balcony (which is outside of your room of course) they would charge you $250. My suggestion is to go to downtown Portland and have a blast. Portland is so much better with many great places to enjoy the food of Maine (especially the lobster rolls).
